Yeah, I'm agree with you. Asstro should focus on HD channel instead of 3D.
For asstro first, I think they main target is for Kelantan state customer because no cinema at there.

Until now Astro does not want to confirm that all movies on AF wld be the same Cinema version shown at cinemas. What I worry AF on astro cld be shortened. What u guys think,cos even in ABO we do notice this sort of hanky panky.This is a business tactic to protect each other interest too.

I've got this fussy and annoying setting with astro b.yond.use samsung lcd tv and pioneer htz585 HT.astro remote sound ctrl can't ctrl their sound volume.need to use pioneer remote ctrl to sound come from astro b.yond.quite annoying because need to use 2 remote ctrl.

How you connect between byond and HT? if using HDMI than you don't have other choice instead of using 2 remote.

If you want use 1 remote either, don't use your HT. Just connect direct byond to your LCD using HDMI and configure byond remote so it can control your LCD volume.

your Beyond manual has all the keys to programme ur remote.

Aiyo, last time when launch HD you all said "Astro super late, everybody have 3D, Astro only now want to start HD"

As for me, I'm happy that they start early as as can all start commenting on it and if they listen, maybe by the time we all have our own 3D TV, they fixed what needs fixing.


I believe Astro and Cinema have different standards when it comes Censorship. I remember this one article in newspaper people are complaining about Astro's Censorship. The YBs are saying since Astro is the only Pay TV Operator, they have the Civic Duty to not show things that are inappropriate for Youngsters and etc unlike the Cinema. So they wanted Astro to and a more Stringent Censorship guidelines that the cinema. The article was published back in mid of Last year.

i agree with you.. astro's censorship is really more lax then usual.. it was a few weeks ago that i watched a natgeo documentary on natives in the amazon jungle and there were some boobs showing in plain sight from the native women folk.. wished they were perkier..

Funny, last night SETEM film got blurred at certain image...

Opened my Astro bill enveloped yesterday.........darnm it got to pay BN government annual 6% government tax of RM173.88 Astro have 3 million subscriber base, lets say each account pay RM60 tax annually, that's RM180 million a year to the government coffer. Hopefully this money not used for useless spending such as having ANGKASAWAN NEGARA KEDUA.
