What happen with Discovery HD ?? Anyone have the chance to view the 3D HD broadcast in some Premier League games..with your expensive 3D HDTV.

Hi! Can any1 confirm activation of Astro B'yond is now "instant" ie upon completion of installation?
Appears to hv conflicting views in here till now...

And if it's a NEW subscriber, are yu given the B'yond Decoder on installation or the Std old one until it is replaced when available? Astro's webpages said that would be the procedure ie B'yond Decoder NOT given on installation!!!

I got the subtitle finally. It seemed that acexii is right - there is a little delay for the subtitle to appear on screen .

There was supposed to be one 3D broadcast of a Premier League game earlier this month..but due to the game not being able to be played because of the weather in the UK, the game was postponed and so no 3D broadcast..but more 3D games will be shown in the next few months..

DISCOVERY HD? We need to Discover the info ourselves

Confirmed, most activation is instant. you need not worry. even looking at the few post in this thread, only those who have their boxes installed in late November/early December experienced the delays. For new installations most of teh activation is instant.

So it looks like the issues are almost fixed by Astro..

p/s: I love Shiela Majid in HD as well as in SD. She's one extremely sweet lady.

Finally, after one month waiting, they changed my package today....
So, like bro Lapaq said, their system already OK now....
no need to worry about Byond activation.... (hopefully)

FYI, I got a loan set from Astro since they cant resolve my faulty set for more than 1 week time... System is very unstable... If in overseas, sure kena sue till the pants down...

They already remember me... accordingly to the technical support specialist... this case alledi up to all the relevant department, including those vice president and president of the depts.... Don't think astro can compensate me for all the frustration and inconvenience I endure now...

According to one of the VP, the director of the IT was fired during the year 2004 system migration problem. This round wait whose head is going down... Can check with you whether the quarantine list folder no longer applies in the new system?

anyone in the forum using external HDD for PVR recording. Occassionally, when i try to playback recorded shows, i will have some shows without picture/sound and i can see the timing keeps skiping x seconds. And for some shows, when fastforward, the show cannot go back to normal speed....it just keeps on skipping. 2 weeks ago, astro technician did swap my decoder. But still the same thing happen. Now my next try is to swap the externall HDD as still under warranty.

Anyone face the same problem? any fixes or known cause?
