if they can do like that 110 both SD and HD

why cant they make like Star Movies only in HD for B.yond and SD in... normal Astro, save a bit..
*
Because sometimes the two Star Movies channels play different movies simultaneously.

Guys, i just istalled beyond today.
Have a question.

1- My Sharp LED tv is only detecting 1080i and 50hz, but my tv suppose to be 1080p and 100hz. Should i be worried?
*
Astro transmitting in only 1080i mainly for HD. NOT in FULL HD or 1080p. At times it can even be upscaled/converted SD material. Sorry...

So yr TV is ok. Actually one does NOT need FULL HD TVs to watch Astro B'yond programs...a HD READY TV is good enuf.

Added on December 27, 2010, 10:34 pmAdvice to potential/future subscribers to Astro B'yond who intend to buy new LCD/LED/Plasma TVs :

If plan to use TV only for watching Astro B'yond prgs, you only need a HD READY TV ie onecthat supports 1080i.
If plan to also watch Blu-ray Discs of movies in 1080p, then only do yu need a FULL HD TV. Frankly even a good HD READY TV can be used to watch such BD Discs too.

However, of course, if yr budget allows, then it's more of YOUR CHOICE of TV... wink.gif

Added on December 27, 2010, 10:42 pm*** To be safe...Pls Google for all those terms associated with all these formats so that you understand what they are all about b4 yu jump into a purchase! Don't just listen to sales pitch...can be VERY misleading at times!!

Good Luck!!

Simple....content rights and censorship works....All these require more money and more resources. If we want all these we may need to pay more...and I really dont want to pay more sweat.gif

Don't be fooled by the channel's number.
It's just a channel no. & nothing to do with channel's frequency.

(Correct me if I'm wrong)

Astro Fiesta can be viewed on

for Astro Byond Subsribers : Ch 110 (HD) or Ch994 (SD)
for Astro Subscribers        :  Ch 110 (SD)

Watching "Rendang Tok Wan" now in HD in Ch 110, pretty good. cool.gif
