Youtube HD is not legally allowed in any set top or media players. However,
you can do that by using a hacked version of firmware, B-radds firmware.
is wdtv will be using a new chipset or is it  another totally new product?
*
ive already tried B-radds firmware, but when i try to watch youtube this message came out "video is currently unavailable"

Sighh ... sad.gif

Is it because of firmware? it could be that the video has been taken off also.
Try search something else.. just type "sample 1080p" or anything..

Did u mean 1.04.22. I'm using it, and i don't see any different in the framerate menu..
I'm already using auto, even before this release..

Err..anyway, among the features in the new, beta firmware is

> Supports Auto-framerate (Audio Video settings/video output/HDMI/auto/auto/Match video framerate).

i'm using the latest firmware.
normally you select the resolution + refresh rate (1080p 60Hz, 1080p 50Hz, etc),

now just select auto, then auto framerate, then you're done. works fine for me

with auto framerate feature enabled, how do we know it is running at 24, 50 or 60?

depends whether your TV is able to show you that information or not.
On my Samsung, it will run at 1080p 60Hz in the UI. It will then switch when you start playing your movies, tv shows, videos etc. If there is a refresh rate change, my Samsung would go blank momentarily to switch refresh rate modes, and the OSD would indicate the current mode.

Is the video unavailable or can you still watch youtube videos on official firmware?
Try reset the player, it should generate the youtube keys
If you need to watch youtube in HD by default, try setting the configuration on wdtv's webend interface.
Just type the wdtvlive's ip address on browser, wdlxtv should be the default username/password

Yep, works fine here. Automatically set my TV to 1080/24p when detected the MKV rip at 24fps.

Dunno what you talk.
WDTV Live can play most files except rmvb.
WDTV model that support RMVB is the legacy model WDTV Mini@RM119. If looking for RMVB then look for HDPro Media Player.

Check here for more info and format by WDTV Live >> http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=330

1. WD tv live hub 1tb or WD tv live + 1tb passport essential?

2. I noticed from wd website stated that WD tv live hub HDMI 1.4 while WD tv live HDMI 1.3. what is the difference? if my cable 1.3 means cannot support WD tv live hub?
