No stuttering at all. Wired gigabit network.

What are you using?

using Live Hub here, the Gigabit is useless, also on Gigabit network but I got like 7MB/s only

using wdtv live current model (2nd gen?). i have not had any stuttering problems since day one.

i'm not technically savvy enough to comment on the above. my home network includes several NAS, but the media server is a QNAP TS-409 and a Netgear WNDR3700 router. also, i guess how busy your HDD are when you access the NAS is a contributing factor?

Thanks but was in KL - PC Expo and bought 4 at RM290.

Now very few shops carrying it cos newer chip (better?) is coming in May2011. This model may be EOL.

Youtube HD is not legally allowed in any set top or media players. However,
you can do that by using a hacked version of firmware, B-radds firmware.

Well it''s fast enough for streaming but pathetically slow to transfer files, what's the point of giving 1TB internal drive if filling them up will take forever.

Yes I concur, the reason is because media players do not have web browser and do not display ads, hence it's too pricey to allow us to stream HD from the player as there's no ads to subsidize the bandwidth.

As for the hacked version of firmware, it's only applicable to WD TV Live, heard B-radd is not messing with Live Hub

How do you know that WD is going to release a new player this year?
