Anyhow, want to ask to all, am thinking of using LAN cable to connect from router to the wdtv. If I open a movie which is at my PC, will it be faster to load? How fast? Thanks!

Am using LAN to connect to router - no lags even with blue-ray rip files on my WDTV Live. LAN should always be better with high bitrate files. i read on WDTV / WDLXTV forums that wi-fi can be laggy sometimes?

Why recommend Dune? What's the benefit besides the BD ISO?

Hello, I've just bought the WDTV Live Hub..and have been testing it on my old toshiba lcd regza 32" using a cheap hdmi from tesco (rm20+). Well the audio/video playback was kinda jerky with on and off for like 1 second continuously. Not sure which was the problem..my TV or the cable.

Does cheap or good quality hdmi cable really makes the differrent ? Thinking to buy a new hdmi cable later on..but would like to hear some feedback from you guys.

probably it is doing a hard disk scanning for the first time. Go to setup, system setting and disable the media library and see what will happen.

Does HDMI CEC really works? It didn't mention in the latest fw as if it is working as it should be.

My WDTV Live SMP connect to Onkto AVR than to Pana Tv. I also have ps3 connected to Onkyo. All are set to HDMI CEC. With this function on, I can control ps3 and Onkyo using single remote (In this case i choose to use pana remote), but never the WDTV. Resetting to factory default after fw update doesn't change anything.

Searching in the internet give me a mix result.

live hub comes with 1tb hard disk, but only has wired ethernet connection (u need to buy a wireless dongle for wireless)

live streaming does not come with hard disk, but its both wired ethernet and wifi ready builtin.

Life is too short for me. I love to watch movies but can't spend too much hours in front of the idiot box.

Sometimes on PC, I watched movies with increased speed, say 1.5X to 1.7X so that I can finished the movie during lunch-time.

Does any media players has such feature?
