need opinions/feedback from the kind folks here.

What's a cheap and good USB wireless adapter for WD TV Live Hub (currently on the latest firmware). I know the recommended list is published in WD site but it's limited. Can anyone share the brand and model?

Looking at the small little adapter rather than the longish one.

Aztech WL552USB (150Mbps wireless N)... RM23. It works on old wdtv live. So, I believe it will also work for other wdtv devices.

i have WDTV Live but then when i want to play my animes, it seems that the subtitles are defaulted into normal looking subtitles. It also seems like there's no support for multiline subtitles. Is there anyway to allow or gain these features?

Thank you

did u mean, all your subtitles are always in a single line? It must be caused by the subtitle file itself.. whoever made the subtitle file didn't made it to display as multiple line.

I just found out my hornettek showcase 2.5&3.5 HD cannot display Chinese Subtitles in *.SRT files. I think, if it is in *.GSS or *.IDK+*.SUB then it will be ok

I know even using PC not many program able to display Chinese SRT , VLC gave me "boxes" and MPC-HD gave me "symbols"

only a chinese developed player call SPlayer (similar multipurpose player like MPC-Star but lighter) able to display Chinese SRT sub flawlessly.

can this WD player do the magic?

@ GaaraOfTheDesert - the probox hdd should be a simple plug and play affair and shows up as disk 1, disk 2, etc. once u plug in the usb. have u updated the wdtv to latest firmware. suggest you try that as it may help. also, are your hdd FAT/NTFS formatted?

the wdtv works on RAID configured NAS boxes too, so it doesnt matter if its a RAID or non-RAID.

Hello all sifus here,

I plan to get a quality Media for my parents to watch HD movies that downloaded at "ehem ehem". Mostly all Movies is 15GB to 30GB full HD 1080p.

So WD Media Player is more like plug and play ? Does it support any video format ? I want an user- friendly Media Player, just connect my harddisk to the media player can click play.
