U can always use AF-Servo or AF-Focus(sorry cant remember this) to keep constantly focus as your subject as they move.

both also wrong, cos it's AI-Servo. not AF-Servo.

but bear in mind also that one drain your battery kau kau cos it constantly moves the motor to maintain focus.

ai-focus will move ur focus when it detects something moved
from the original position,
not very practical but i dont use it at all

5D2's autofocus is definately not faster than 550D... both my friend and I were shooting the first pic below and his turned out blur

Forget AI Servo or AI Focus... just use old fashion center point focus either anticipate movement (manually) or prefocus then spray/pray.

I use One Shot mode most of the time, unless I'm shooting sports. Then I'll use AI Servo.
AI Servo is predictive focus. It's the mode to use when you're shooting anything moving.

AI Focus is a "smart" focus system whereby the camera switches between One Shot and AI Servo. If the subject moves, the camera will change to AI Servo automatically. If it's still, it's One Shot. 

Just wondering if anyone is interested in going around taking (street) photos of Petaling Street, Central Market, KL old railway station, Dataran Merdeka or any other places in KL that can portray the retro and vintage looking of KL?

I am not a fan of shooting models. Maybe because it looks weird for a female to shoot another female with a bunch of guys.
I don't really like staged poses, prefer candid and unintended shots.

nice attempt there, like the 1st one. some distractions here and there (upper right, lower right) but it's alright.

2nd one looks under-exposed, note the bowl cover at the back. when wrongly lit it will blend into the subject. that one is a big NO NO.

Luckily the value doesn't depreciate much else I'll have heartache.
I bought it when it was just released in March, that time for RM 2470, still OK la.

Haha. My next body upgrade? I don't think it will happen that soon la. My 550D still standing well, my sis will kill me if I'm changing a new body soon.

Probably by 2012?
