OceanRed, great stuff you got there. I downloaded Almast and Euphoria and WOW! It's like 2 different ends of the world! Both are very different (One's jazzy the other's electronica-ish) yet both sound great!

One thing I like about the piano is that you could play both the rhythm/bass line while playing lead, and I must say you could coordinate both hands well! Very tasty choice of notes too, very very jazzy! You must have played the piano/keys for a long time, professionally? thumbup.gif thumbup.gif Love to hear more from you! thumbup.gif

What did you use to record anyway??

OK.. heard the song. The backing track seems repeating over and over. For me the song look static, or maybe that not my stail of music that I'm in to.

I'm glad biggrin.gif
Now there are two people in the world who like Euphoria. I used to think it was a song for myself only.

I play the piano by year, took a few years lessons of those only, so i'm pretty limited. What you hear is all i can play. But still, nice to be complimented. Almast is an old song, done some time ago, so i don't think i can play it perfectly now blush.gif

I use an old microphone, and the electronica is through piano.

Good, i'll try something new. But i'm a noob at electronica, gonna try Tu2 for a more varied background. The drum track right? If it's static, then it's not your style, i do this kinda "elevator " music. Thanks for the feedback.

OO, i ain't anywhere near that. You guys are rockers? mostly guitar fans here...i feel like a small kid, playing piano... What is dist?

You could try The Noise is Back.
oh ya, noobie question. Whats tab out? shakehead.gif

I just finished SPM !!! Can try out more styles now, no need to freak out cos of exam!!

Please advise on style and form .

savio, don't be modest, you play very very good piano, especially knwoing that you compose those tracks... franckly, that's impressive ! (i just heard almast) it's true it's a bit "music lift's style", but you master it pretty well. If you play live as good as on the tracks, you should go for live performing in hotels (you know, they propose some background piano during cocktails).

I didn't listen to other track, cuz slow connection...

Jemi, you and your usual self!!! Amazing solo dude, very Satchy (I'm sure Pix would like it thumbup.gif )and the tone's very very Gilmour-eque! 2 thumbs up!

The downside is the guitar track could use a little volume boost and it's TOO SHORT! tongue.gif

Jemi... what to say about you...
you're playing furious solos, they sound very "clean". Your whole playing is clean...
The sweepings ? Woaw... very impressive. A bit too much of them for my taste though wink.gif Actually, the ones at 1:05 are kicking in plenty of good freaking energy, but the ones at 1:18 don't fit in.

The "bluesy" parts (stratospheric bends, pentatonic licks, artificial/pinched harmonics) are really awesome, but slightly too "mechanical" and perfect.

The start noises sound like satch stuff, a little bit. Satch has a way to make those kinds of intro very "interesting", original and leading to something. Here it lacks that "leading to something" approach. I'm dreaming too of doing such purposeful intro, as the master does... but it's just too hard for me sad.gif

Guitar sound is good in the beginning (very "old" satch), then the solo sound is typical from Jemi, Ssslayerr and friends... cold and sharp, ultra-compressed... pouuuuark. laugh.gif The main disapointment comes from the overall balance : Bass and trebles are 15dB too loud, it's awful (cuz consequently, guitar is 15dB too low !!). I guess that's Animesan who is to blame here, but Jemi, you could have rectified that. Don't you feel like your solo is way too deep in the mix ? Or is it my hearphones ?? I don't think so : bass are so loud, they're saturating !

To end that very mean critic : there's no ending to the solo... it does finish at 1:32 correct ? You still stuck in a flashy alt. picking run on the low frets...

Well, your solo is already at "pro" level, you've got your style, the ideas, the crazyness, the technic... i'm totally blown away. That's why i'm doing such rough & raw critics : that's the only thing i can give you wink.gif you give me music, i'm giving you opinion... i'm such a looser laugh.gif you rule !

Pix:
No way you are loser. I like the way you give comment.

* I have to found out what do you mean by 'Leading to something'.
* I don't really realize the guitar sound too deep in the mix, until you & Led told me. Actually this the second exported file, the 1st should be loader.
* For me 1.05 not really fit but 1.18 fit in.. biggrin.gif well.. different people different taste.
* The backing track really stop at 1.32.

Thanks for comment

p/s: I go back adjust the guitar volume setting & upload the file by tommorow. At same time i'll make adjustment on the ending part.
