Also guys, I read a lot about Sager and how flexible it is in terms of changing GPU, SLI, Graphic cards and such but why are people still reluctant in buying a Sager lappy? Though i noticed that the warranty is not a Sager warranty but other then that, it seems to offer a lot. Is there a secret we normal ppl don't know?
Added on June 23, 2011, 6:30 pmwhen i went to low yat to enquire, they were quoting me that price eh... how la? RM7500 or less. I got mine for about RM6000.. definitely not 5k.. i know it says online USD1499 but conversion plus shipment is def more then that.

SAME HERE! i thought it was european handphone company like errr.. SAGEM or something
Sager laptops come from Clevo, a company that provides barebone laptops which are easily upgradeable. Other brands that use Clevo laptops are Malibal, Eurocom, Maingear and Origin =)
And with a barebone laptop, it is definitely affordable to upgrade it,
Take for example, the latest Sager 8150-S1 with a GTX485m(what happened to ATI 6970m!?), it cost close to RM6k, compared to the MSI GT780R, it's definitely worth it!!
Even the upgrade from the Intel 2630QM to the 2720QM only costs averagely USD160 as compared to ASUS & MSI that offered close to USD400 for the upgrade.
However, most of us are afraid of it's warranty since it doesn't have global warranty unlike MSI & ASUS which offered global warranty for 1 or 2 years.
Buying Sager brings a risk only in terms of warranty, but it's sure the best bang for buck, no doubts

You make your choice. Sometimes u just gotta risk it to get the biscuit, haha.. XD
If you're looking for a plain exterior but a beastly interior, Sager is your best choice.
Still, MSI wins with their great sound quality from Dynaudio =)
The MSI GT780R has a steelseries gaming keyboard embedded and a matte display(it's rare nowadays!) in stock and the colourful software customized backlit keyboard, it's so darn attractive!
