er..there's the "Hit f3 to enter Recovery" while bios is loading isnt it?

u can just enter there and recover.

As for entering safe mode..every windows based laptop sure can..but im not sure how to enter safe mode for ours..might wanna check on9 for details

As for reformating, you can download a clean version of home premium and use your cd-key. Check few threads back, some1 did mention where to dl the clean windows

i cant get into windows at all so i think its fine using the pirated one since i have the product key too. i tried recovery but it said the recovery environment was not normal. iknow that the c and d drive name has to be changed back to original for it to work, but it still couldnt work.

Hi buddy @angelchong didn't they bundle the laptop along with OEM windows 7 DVD when you first bought it??

Nop, i believe most laptop now doesnt come with it..they just use the "Hit FX for recovery" as it's a lot more convenient

let me repeat my problem in detail this time.

i had itchy hands and when searching on how to change user folder names. then i came across some profilelist thingy and renamed some stuff and then the notebook kept rebooting to temporary profile.

i started looking for solution on how to fix this. i changed some SID value/remove some TEMP profile and stuff until i couldnt boot into windows anymore, stuck at the 'user profile service service could not logon'.

i tried using windows cd to reformat but it said one of more components failed. i think i formatted the c drive btw..so i think theres no windows anymore.

i believe hitting tab before the mobo splash then f8 boots into safemode, but i cant boot properly.

Oo , i before that also change the profile name , after that cant login , after that i go in temporary profile and again slowly analyze regedit , find no solution until a lightbulb in my head come out , that is i i change the profile name already but didnt change the first profile name to login when boot , that's why windows try to get the old profile name and find out it doesnt exist that's why it prompt you temporary profile

i think i caused some other problem lol.

'the user profile service service failed the logon, user profile cannot be loaded'.

then i couldnt enter safe mode properly too. i tried using windows cd to reformat but it didnt work, so i think i formatted c drive during the setup of the windows, so i believe theres no windows in my notebook now. the c drive is clean. guess ill just bring it for fix. i don't really trust those pc shops that can reformat, so i think i want to send to msi. how long will it take to fix? weeks? still under warranty btw.

i bliv if it comes to formatting, it will take about 1 day or so,

u tried reformatting already but it fail?

ok since you format you drive already zzz , that's mean you need to reinstall windows already , just friendly advice ya next time you tinker with registry remember to backup , into a pendrive or so , because when you find out u can't go into your windows , quickly pop in your windows disc and load the usb and merge the backup back into the registry

yeah i formatted my c drive, everytime i on the notebook it says setup is starting but then failed to format, better send for fix.

where do you think i should send to, normal pc shop or msi? i dont really trust pc shop but they are fast, if send to msi might take weeks. im kinda in need of using the laptop so yeah :/

well, i think it's probably your windows cd problem..have utried anther windows cd?

To anyone who's getting the GT780R, you won't regret it! I got my package yesterday and all I can say is WOW!

Build quality is actually awesome. Keyboard feels very good and I don't have any issue with it like others in other forum. For sound, there's no need to comment on it.

It'll be good for the people who wants a gaming laptop in terms of performance & looks. Just that you would have to live with playing games not in the highest setting.

used the pirated windows cd since i have the key. i dont dare use other cd anymore, scared later more problem, better send for repair. pc shops that wont take too long or msi that might take quite some time?
