apart from HON. Everything else is fine. Awesome in fact. My work of programming and router simulation runs perfectly fine. Battery life is awesome. The design and the weight terrific. There will always be flaws in a product regardless of how good one products is.

I.E a gallardo or a f50 or m5 or g5. There isn't a product in the world including the SLK that doesnt have minor glitches here and there. But there's one thing not every product has, good customer service. and MSI have that.

All in all it's your choice. I chose MSI, b4 I chose them, they served me terrifically, now that I have chose them, their customer support still deserves to be credited. Even with this inability to play HON for 2 games in a row without blue screen, even if I knew b4 hand, I'd still make the same decision. Asus, Sapphire, Gigabyte, Dell , Acer. Personally, RMA, Customer Service, with them, oh yea, toshiba too, absolutely horrible. MY asus rampage 2 board, went into RMA in january. i have yet to receive till today. Go figure my friend
*
agree with u on this. Before this, i tot dell had the best warranty..every since i noe MSI MY is in this forum, everything just seems so fast..u can go check MSI-MY post, everytime when some1 had a problem, within 24 hour he will come and help out. i remember some1 talkin bout his motherboard that sent to rma and he immedietly check it n posted it out along with the tracking code..now this is what i call an excellent customer service tongue.gif..maybe other brand should copy them and start helping out in big forum like LYN rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

ahhh..if im not wrng..it's the win32k.sys that's causing the bluescreen..correct me if im wrng guys tongue.gif

did a quick search regarding it..some claims it's program clashes..though a lot of them suggested to try using registry cleaner or anything to check registry n correct errors..it might help out

Unfortunate to hear about your gt680r.Hope you can get it fix really soon and maybe discuss your process of fixing it in case anyone of us gets the same error in the future  sweat.gif

QUOTE(Brozini @ forum.notebookreview.com)
Hi,

According to my source from MSi, it is going to be late Sept/early Oct. In the meantime MSi is going to 'replace' GT680R with GT683R (nV GTX560M).

Regards,

Brozini
Oh my...guess the GT680R machines were just a "kambing korban" test machine to tryout what are the customer's review and attractions on it?As always, just replacing the gfx card with the nvidia 5series and satisfy the customers with it.Not really sure whats going on with the marketing skills nowadays, same goes for the production of phones as well when they just replace and introduce a new single thing from an old product to a new product just like that. Its like an incomplete system featured of bits and pieces which slowly combines into a crap.

Im not really sure about the production of GT683R as I did not do any research on it except to checkout the forums.

Well, there's always a way like what some of the users at AW thread did..they bought a GC through ebay i tink n replace it into their laptop..though if u do tat..warranty will be voided tongue.gif

Ya, means less work for me XD

Ok ok, I wun then XD

This laptop sounds great, love the sound!

Design wise, it looks spectacular too, I tot it would look to grodgy, but it isnt =)

My lil bro wil b hapi wif tis, haha..

Can't wait to try Crysis 2 on this!

Added on April 11, 2011, 8:56 pmI felt something odd...

Why when I restart having my external harddisk attached to it, it will end up with a black screen?

I can't access Windows at all.. Until I removed my HDD from the lappy,I restart it and it went back to normal..

Something to do with the adjustments in the BIOS?
*
glad to hear it..the sound is the mst amazing laptop sound u ever heard right? tongue.gif..haha..do pst ur benchmakrs here shows u bro tongue.gif

anyway, regarding that..it is normal..because while booting..it will end up reading what is inside ur external hard disk as well..thus causing that problem..besides it's always wise to oni pluck in ur ext hdd when ur in windows..do what msi-my say 1st..see if it will works smile.gif..if i remember correctly..some1 in this forum had similar problem..but it's his mouse that's causing the prblem hahah tongue.gif

Ya,Dell used to b my top choice, but now all I c is just d great warranty service, it's expensive.. My Studio 1555 costs RM4k, omg.. Imagine the contrast between the 1555 to the new MSI GT680. Difference in price is only RM1k+ @_@

Since it's for MSI users only, I won't be able to go, I'm not a MSI user, my bro is =/

Speaking about games, Shift 2 would rock so much! I played the Hot Pursuit and boy, am I impressed with the gameplay, graphics and effects, cool!! =)

Hhmm, Dragon Age is almost like that, something like Diablo & Neverwinter Nights?
*
hahaha..well..some may think it's only 1k..others..1k is a big gap..but then if me..the way i tink is..i shud settle for a higher end laptop that can last me mch longer with good specs than to use a lower spec laptop that will last me for 1 year+? lol

i LOVE hot pursuit..it's really good..enjoy collecting all the NFS series lol

never try..though when i see my friend play it sure seems a lil like fallout tongue.gif

QUOTE(razorboy @ Apr 13 2011, 11:39 AM)

biggrin.gif thats me....

looking at GT550 it's a little bit powerful than GT540 but the ASUS only has 4GB RAM,, should the the 8GB RAM offset the difference between GT540 and GT550?
*
base on FPS..it's just a lil difference..not very noticeable..and no..having more ram wont make it better.

anyway, what's your main reason on getting this laptop? for gaming? for video editing/photoshopping? if a lil bit of here n there..i would take gt540..the extra ram would be better when it comes to rendering or editing heavy photos and stuff

and also do u think u need tat xtra ram? tongue.gif
