QUOTE(kkChan @ Mar 19 2011, 03:28 PM)
i went to the courts in giant shah alam, they only have those low end models, no even pamphlets for gt 680r. What msi marketing ppl are doing..?
*
As razorboy said, it's not MSI fault. It's Courts fault as they do need get supply there. Besides, GT680r is not a cheap laptop and if you look around not much shop carry these kind of expensive laptops, even if you want to buy Alienware it's either you get here in the forum, order from Dell or wait for PC Fair. It's a risk carrying such expensive laptop as it's not easy to sell.

QUOTE(razorboy @ Mar 19 2011, 10:32 PM)
This has nothing to do with their marketing actually. It's Courts at fault. MSI-MY is the main distributor in MY. However, if the certain courts outlet did not place an order to MSI-MY for so and so model , MSI-MY will not send out stock to them.

No demand - No Supply

The touchpad is starting to get really annoying. Before this it was working fine. However somehow now it's just not working anymore. Even with it disabled, it's still running.
*
razorboy, your touchpad got problem? O_O. Mine is working fine so far. I only have one problem. Can't install the latest CCC driver sweat.gif

QUOTE(huyified @ Mar 20 2011, 08:08 AM)
Not sure if im still blur here, but mine came with both MSI recovery disc+sealed windows 7 OS package disc smile.gif
*
Oh, if you open up the Window7 OS Package Disc, it's empty inside if I'm not wrong. It's like a book right? If it is, it's just a manual tongue.gif. Try bending it and you will know wink.gif

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Mar 20 2011, 12:14 PM)
Dear MSI users, I was wondering whether you guys have any info (specs and price) on the current MSI laptops?
Can't seem to find much from the internet... and MSI_MY hasn't reply me yet  cry.gif
I was thinking maybe I could collect some data from you guys  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

Many thanks~~
*
Hi there, Do you have any MSI Models in mind right now? tongue.gif. And also whether you want to import from US or prefer to buy locally, If you prefer to buy locally then you can only get the GT680r. -Edit: As in the high end gaming laptop, if you're looking for mid-end, will look for the detailed specs first-

Specs as below: (Taken from US Website, should be the same)
Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM Processor (2.0-2.9GHz, 1066MHz, 3MB Cache)
Window 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
15.6" Glossy LCD FHD (1080p)
nVidia GeForce GTX460m (1.5GB DDR5 VRAM)
8GB DDR3 (2GB x 4) 1333mhz rams
1TB HDD (500gb x 2)
DVD Mutli Drive (If i'm not wrong, Malaysia model comes with Blu-ray, i will wait for razoyboy to answer this tongue.gif)
9 Cell Battery

and not to forget the almighty Dynaudio Premium Speakers wub.gif

i figured that it wasn't booting problem, but it stucks at the mobo splash screen for a minute before loading normally.
*
i think i noe whats your problem, do u have USB Flash Drive or External Hard Disk USB plug in? if yes, plug it out then start up your laptop. I used to have similar problem to my PC and i found out that it will read through the external hard disk before moving on. Pluck out n done, no more slow loading smile.gif

QUOTE(razorboy @ Mar 21 2011, 01:30 PM)
i had no utility cd . it came with a manual and an msi cd. no utility cd given. I got mine under the pre-registration thing. 6999 with a netbook. An Msi mouse and Assasin's Creed 2 which I am so thoroughly enjoying
splash screen as in the black screen or the windows screen?
*
Check the MSI DVD, I'm sure it's inside there no? O_O. If not can always go to their download link and take it

Link to driver : Click Me!

anyway, what netbook was it? tongue.gif..ur using it? biggrin.gif

QUOTE(huyified @ Mar 21 2011, 02:57 PM)
Hey razor, sorry if im answering questions that have been answered, but since im using the gt680r as well, the Fn+F3 key wouldnt work for u is it?I didnt read the past post as im busy with assignments now sorry =\
*
If the FN+F3 doesnt work, then for sure there's a problem with his SCM which is System Control Manager, make sure you did not shut that off during Window Startup at MSconfig smile.gif

Im not sure, i tried it, it just disables something.  -__- im not sure what it is
I'm not sure what netbook. I didn't shut it off as far as I remembered

Added on March 21, 2011, 6:13 pmhmm, somehow the keypad is disabled now. -___- the only thing i did was press fn + f3
*
wow..till now haven shut off? hahah tongue.gif..anyway regarding the keypad, the keypad area should have 3 lights when it's disabled. when the light is off means the keypad is enabled smile.gif..try to check make sure your system control manager is on..SCM basically controls everything in the laptop..without it, it's like a baby without a mom tongue.gif

QUOTE(angelchong @ Mar 21 2011, 08:45 PM)

*
haha..wat mouse u use? i have no problem with my lachesis though smile.gif..you can try disable it from bios..set it to not run External Drives or something..forget the name xD

hahahaha..what great ><..im jz sharing based on my experience tongue.gif

for the 6300, well there's not much use here in malaysia other than the longer range of the antenna..so it will be a waste of $$ to upgrade to that tongue.gif

as for laptop, well there's alienware which is nicer but heavier..then the asus which looks good coz of their exhaust fan tongue.gif..and then there's sager..very well known brand + it's unique in malaysia tongue.gif and last but not least, the msi gt680

b4 i get my gx660r those 4 were part of my original plan..i skip out alienware and sager due to their weight..as i need a laptop to be used on the go..so it's down to asus n msi, i end up choosing msi for their fresh new look + dynaudio speaker is just overly tempting tongue.gif..luckily i din make the wrong choice smile.gif

ask everyone here, they have the same doubts b4 buyin their laptops, and u can ask if they were given a 2nd chance, wat laptop they will get tongue.gif..for me i will definitely stick to this msi smile.gif

haha..well true also, i don't see the point of getting two similar MSI laptops tongue.gif. Well, for the extended range, you can always get a bluetooth dongle for your laptop tongue.gif. besides, think about it..how many times will you be using your bluetooth? I've only use my laptop's bluetooth for like..3 times? tongue.gif

anyway, if u don't compare the prices locally n overseas, then u'll find that alienware is actually worth it wink.gif..as for sager, well, if ur worried bout warranty issue, i suggest u get from mucro.asia..google them..they are based in singapore..anything happen u can owes drive up there or post there..at least it's still better than posting stuff over to US right? tongue.gif

well..yeah true..though there's still no sighting of gtx560m gc out there yet *I think* for a 15" laptop..u can owes PM mucro for details..bt then if u add in the delivery fee..mucro would be more or less the same + less hassle when u wanna send it to warranty..but i have used 5 laptops so far and all of them do last me for sometime witout a problem..at most is reformatting thatz all
