Yea, got 1 unit as I'm a MBB CC holder. My number was <100 and Samsung allowed customers to make payment earlier at 9.30am, instead of 10am. 

It's expensive bro! check this one from 11street. Bought mine from them and it it only took a day for me to receive my item. quite fast! It's only RM 3,143 beter get it now cause their price changes quite often. Good luck!

The best bang for the buck TV out there. Got the 50 inch for RM 2,444. It was a really great deal with great visuals. Using it mainly for gaming and movies.

It's only Sony and Samsung for me. I bought a Samsung TV in 2011. Until now, It's is up and running without any encountered issues. that's how reliable Samsung is.

not sure which is the best ... please help me...cannot decided which one should i bought...

Are there any sound bar you will recommend or home theatre system around RM1k to RM1.5k? Does the price of a sound system falls off as much as the TV does after a few years?

Why do you say so? Quality to price ratio not justifiable compared to home theater?

Which Home Theater system would you suggest around that budget? Or which brand to look out for?

Thanks, I've never really experienced real HTS before so I don't know if I will be able to tell the difference. Probably would but I'll do some reading and search on lazada/11street/amazon for good value HTS's.

Soap opera effect?

you can turn off the soap opera effect. i don't like it as well.

If it's the soap opera effect, it can be turned off and judder can too, or at least be minimized... I'm not entirely sure if it's as a result of it being a 50hz TV as it could a defect or the default recording of the content being played.. Ideally, due to popular content being shot at 24fps, a 120hz TV is much preferred, cuz most 120hz panels can display 24hz video without issue, because 24 goes into 120 five times. But some 50/60hz panels have difficulty.. I use a 120hz TV and in addition, turning off them auto-motion assisting thingys ensures action scenes and camera pans are realistic.. At minimum, turn motion settings down to its lowest.. The soap opera effect is an eyesore to me as well.

Same here.. Just keeping tabs on things as it progresses.. 
Price & a financially sound decision? Yes.. Future Proof? not so much cuz its still early.. As any business, TV manufacturers need revenue to stay in business, how else to get customers to swap current 1080p TVs than to market the idea that the TVs of today are future proof.. Don't get me wrong, 4K is the future.. heck 8K could be around the corner... So in essence, one is "future-proofing". But for now and perhaps 3+ years ahead, 1080p remains king.

Take this analogy...The informed public is accepting that greener tech is the way forward.. think hybrid cars. Sure for now, its good, but as tech gets better over the years.. Hybrid or full EV mode will be extremely more efficient at its job.. And guess what... You'd buy another vehicle.. No? Same can be applied with current crop of TVs, its good, but in 5 years, it'll be significantly better. I choose to wait till its that good and worthy of an upgrade. By all means, do continue buying cuz someone has to foot the research bill..
