I have to agree with the others.. Curved TVs will surely look nicer in the living room, so unless aesthetics is a higher priority and the curved TV gives a better pq than the flat screen... to your eyes? Go with the flat screen option, else the curved one. Make sure to compare pq from multiple potential seating angles to get an idea.

To my sensitive eye...curved picture quality much better. But that's just me though biggrin.gif

If money isn't an issue, I'd go for the curved one ✌️️

I just bought 55" KU6000. I connected it to my Yamaha receiver through HDMI ARC but noted there is frequent audio dropout... Anyone having similar problem?

Previously, I was using LG and Panasonic LED TV but connected them to speakers through RCA cables but the sound quality was lower compared to current HDMI setup. If possible, I don't want to revert back to using RCA cables.

Personally I have same problem using HDMI ARC, but since I hardly watch terrestrial TV, it's a non issue for me.

Suggest you connect your Astro/HyppTV/media box using HDMI to your AVR (Yamaha) and another HDMI to TV...problem solved.

When most buy high end TV and then put movie mode for movies...do we really use those high end technologies?

Full HD tarak cukup?

4K i think is worth if used for information display, but for movies?

I seldom watch TV too... I'm using it mainly to watch movies through USB port... Thank you for your advice though, looks like I'll need extra connection through a media box to solve this problem...  bye.gif
AFAIK, J series is from 2015... K series is 2016... If you are comfortable with buying online, you can get a brand new set with extra RM300...  brows.gif

Use a good HDMI cable bro...you sound like someone who'd appreciate a nice picture quality.

No need those super expensive Monster cables. Those that comes with the TV/media player/Bluray player is subpar to my eye.

I'd recommend a Sony HDMI cable that you can buy from Mudah.my delivered to your house go less than RM20.👍

I bought one to try 4 years ago at RM30...straight away I bought another 4, that's how much I appreciate the cable. For me (I have to emphasize this), the picture quality becomes less dark, has better colour, more detail (yes, you can tweak those with your TV but it's different) than those other below RM50 cables that I have bought in the past.

I'm not sure about the authencity of those cables, but to my eye they are really good.

Try to compare first...

These few weeks when I have the time I go to the shops...I kinda like curved screen now, especially the prices are cheap now...for Full HD. UHD curved still got some gap

Curve is just plain aesthetics. Most reviews say that better opt for a flat one as it doesn't really improve your viewing experience.

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Dec 1 2016, 08:32 AM)
Personally, I prefer flat screen too

QUOTE(rx330 @ Dec 1 2016, 10:27 AM)
i guess if u using it as a pc monitor, setting like inches away, curve would help ur view

was so bz yesterday, didnt manage to get it on gemfive, see later got anymore deals or not

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Dec 1 2016, 07:22 PM)
well true also..

curve is kinda not suitable for the living rooms  blush.gif

individual see, then it's best..  flex.gif

Just had a thought...

Go hotels and mamaks and whatnot...all TV flat screen. Big size/small size...A curved would be something different, no?

I just spent 20minutes in a TV store comparing flat vs curved after all this comments...

I'm still convinced curved is better to my 'eye'...

...and I usually spend 30-45min every month in a Tv store to look at TVs 😅
