then you're the best person to ask which TV model is good if ever anyone want to buy new TV  biggrin.gif
*
But I usually look at entry level, non smart, non 3D type
..that's why my next is either a 58" sharp non smart bcos of the price and screen size...or Samsung curved 55"

Also depends on individual. I'm not willing to spend on anything more than 4k for a TV though, so OLED is out for me at the moment

u guys can try this code below to check your TV panel or change region

to enter Service menu:
press Info>Settings>Mute>Power, using non smart remote.
Next to the 'Option' is a code, eg. 55S6AU0VK. The S (shown bolded here) indicates the manufacturer. If it is A it's Samsung, D is CMO, S is Sharp and L is AU Optronics

to change smart hub region :
When accessing Smart  Hub Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy page up on the TV and press: >> 2 8 9 << (FORWARD, TWO, EIGHT, NINE, REWIND)
i've changed mine to USA, worked well. smile.gif

Just hooked up my new Samsung UHD UA55KU6000....

Picture Quality is superb...for 1080p/720p/480p movies thumbup.gif

I have no 4K sources at the moment so no comment blush.gif

For the price I pay, thumbup.gif

Just a thought...anyone knows how to check whether it's a display unit? TV looks new thought...

Access the service menu to view "hours on" time... Google for the appropriate method for your model.. Careful, don't screw up the TV.
*
Just browsed through some online video/review...

Looks kinda difficult and maybe scary to touch this... rclxub.gif

Can help test the viewing angle? If view from 45 degree angle, colors still ok?

At off center, picture looks a bit brighter...I think the blacks are not as black. Colours looks normal to me though

Finally after so long looking around for new TV laugh.gif
I'm surprised u pick Samsung brand as u said previously it's won't last long laugh.gif
*
Like you said...nowadays Samsung marketing 💪

Furthermore, for entry level 4K (other brands more expensive by at least 1k...😢)...either this or LG or Hisense/Haier...

So between Korean or Chinese....

But then LG UHD machiam not true 4K...

Verdict: Samsung lo

plan to buy this samsung tv series UA55K6300,
yay or nay? any suggestion for led tv price tag below 2.5k?
*
👍

Personally I think screen size above 50" should go for 4k because if not it will somehow be not so sharp...

At the moment, Below 2.5k for screen size 55"/4k and above only Hisense/Haier. If want Full HD can get Samsung too...and maybe LG

I personally think that 50-55" at a normal sitting distance (10-13ft), no point going for 4k, fhd is happy is enough - you really won't find any difference.
*
That's what everyone's saying...but after upgrading myself from Full HD 42" to 4K 55"...my whole family found the 55" 4k to be inferior...at 13ft viewing distance...so in a way luckily I got a 4k...

QUOTE(sigheart @ Jan 20 2017, 04:06 PM)
I have a Ua65ks9000 in my living room that just arrived and a Ua55ku6000 in my bedroom. Even though both are 4k TVs difference is already like night and day even though playing the same content.

I also have a Sony 48W700C fhd TV for my PS4 gaming. For movies or TV shows I don't think I can even go back to fhd TVs already to be honest.

You get what you pay for man.

But at the end of the day depends on your own eyes. Fhd tvs are going for a real bargain nowadays if you're happy enough with it but seriously the extra few hundreds spent on a 4k tv would be well worth it.

Its a good time to upgrade now too seeing how weak our currency is getting and a price increase soon after CNY is imminent.
*
Care to explain on the light and day difference?

It's as simple as that..
Bruh.. That's a 65" KS9000.. It's an SUHD 4K TV with Quantum Dot tech + HDR 1000. Consider it the BMW 7 series of Samsung's lineup. It's not an entry level 4K TV. Possesses far better UHD upscaling engine and panel than the KU6000 (series 6), which I would consider a minimum entry-level 4K TV. All TVs are not equal.

Verdict after 3 days use of UA55KU6000...

The 4K makes the 55" picture about as sharp as a 42" Full HD...

The immersive feel is there...looks like nothing to do with curve or not...

Motion Picture Plus...without is normal. But customise it with 0 judder and LED motion (I forgot the feature name..) ON...gives a great picture feel. I also found the angle viewing with this feature on improves greatly. Maybe still need more time to test

As for picture/backlight setting...mostly follow rtings recommendations for now...with some tweaking
