MU7000 is not on same level as or is it a replacement for KS 7000. A lot of people confused because of the number. Another one of Samsung marketing tactic.

Never believe what they say. Display set only used 3 mths is the standard reply from all salesmen . The true fact is their 3 mths mean at least 8 mths , 10 hrs a day switched on

That's why you can't get 4k video. It requires at least 20mbps speed. Your pc might be showing 4k resolution, but I think it's compromised quality.

From your speed test at fast.com, I think your speed is being throttled by unifi when streaming video.

Why didn't you request for full refund as they suggested and buy the Sony x700e ?

This model if you can get now, I am quite certain not new set anymore. Btw, Tizen also based on Linux.

Already close to end of the year. But still no news of the promised HDR10+ firmware upgrade by Samsung. Not even news of HRD10+ in general.

Be careful, I downloaded and unzipped the Firmware, the folder name is different from the previous firmwares. This might not be the right fw for the KS7000. Even the info file indicate the firmware version is 1145 and not 1203.6.

Already informed Samsung support.

Warning ! KS8000 1203.6 reports :-

"HDMI not getting detected after 1203.6 update. This is commonly reported by many users. Is samung releasing fix for this?. Kindly report/escalate this to product team"

If you are connecting through AVR HDMI, better be take note.

Elsewhere, previously, Samsung already released 1206.x. Over here we are always behind time. I think I will skip 1203.6 update for time being.

Might be wrong FW for KS7000. Refer edited post above. Samsung screwed up.

I complained to them 3 times, yesterday and today 😉. The last time this morning live chat I was quite pushy. It was just an act to get their technical team to take me seriously. Apologies to the service gals that had to endure my bombardment 😁

Like that don't know I want to update or not. Afterwards my android Phone cannot supercast to the TV.

In short, nothing improved either, lol. I just downloaded. I see the txt info notes shows the fw was prepared 30/8/17. Took them 2mths + to release it, lol.

Give us 1206 or 1207 fw already !!!

btw, I don't think you will be seeing the HDR logo ever again from the TV FW side. Samsung probably have left it to the Game Developers/Sony and content providers to show the HDR on their end. (Let them take the blame if not up to quality, lol)

For example, if you are subscribing to Amazon Prime, when you play a HDR video you will get this message before the video begins "An HDR Video is playing" or something like that , I can't exactly remember.

All I can say is on my end whatever HDR contents I have seen from Amazon Prime is washed out and lifeless colours. Instead of being impressed I feel depressed, lol. I prefer SDR videos from Amazon, more sharper and vibrant colours compared to HDR.

Only Youtube HDR Demo videos so far look really nice.
