go to another doctor and seek for 2nd opinion.
as far as i know breastfed babies tend to pee and poo more, and it's more watery - because they digest faster and easier compared to formula. my baby is abt 5months now she's never had that long gap before pee/poo. max 24hours, the following day she pooped 5times.
fully breastfed.
*
pee and poo more, yes, for baby below 4 month
for baby 4 month and above, where their digestion system better developed, baby able to fully absorb all the nutrients from breastmilk, thus it become less pass motion,
my paed said it's normal for fully breastfeed baby, my lo longest was 10 days

You can, but remember anything cold near ur breast will decrease the flow of the milk out, you might want to warm up the cushion piece before using it.

Hi, usually i wash all the components. For instances if you have difficulty to get water to wash them, u can keep them in a clean container and put the container into the fridge.

hye all mothers... i'm currently doing a research on breastfeeding practice in klang... but, it is very difficult to get approvals from hospitals to conduct my research. my research is just a survey-based research and I need around 170 respondents. do you guys know any breastfeeding support group that i can distribute my survey to? or is it possible if i can attach the survey form here...

Yeap she did deliver normal and was encourage to feed our baby during the first hours of delivery although there were no milk at that time. It takes up to one day when the milk starts to flow.

No worries.

But if you change your mind I can help you with the suggestions. Basically those supplements did help to produce more concentrated milk.

:-)

Hi, what supplement taken? Mind to share?

Another big factor is I think your wife did Natural delivery, and also she manage to BF her baby within the first 6 hours (colostrum feed) right? Most mothers I know who manage to do that is off to a good start, those who did LSCS are less fortunate though.

Anyway both of u are doing a great job, too bad my wife can't take your recommended supplements. Breastfeeding is definitely not an easy road taken.

Make sure you are healthy, that's the key word.
I have a friend that like to eat junk food after giving birth and cause the children to get sick often even breast feeding.
Breast feeding are the best food for new born baby(up to 2 years) especially the first 6 months.
Eat more sea water fish(once a while salmon is better as high on natural DHA, not chemical added DHA), reduce red meat like mutton, beef, pork and chicken.

Breast milk contain nutrients, where you get the nutrients? It needs to be replenished.

Sadly, I only can envy to mothers that able to breast feed their babies while my wife can't due to her stupid mother that knows nothing cry.gif

I understand your feelings, that's why imho, its not a good idea to do confinement at your parents or in law's house unless they are supportive... I guess we learnt it the hard way.

As for the nutrients....we just follow the confinement diet and my wife's appetite.....she took a lot of fish and eggs. Initially I thought you meant about BM production haha... tongue.gif

Also drink more milk, your wife will need the calcium sooner or later...

But my wife don't want to listen to me, so just let it be. I've give up on advising her on this.
Eating eggs are not that good, especially got wound, should avoid eggs for 100 days.
Taking fish are good, again not on the first 2 weeks after give birth.
Fish are good to prevent depression and good DHA supplement.
I just bought a new formula milk that contains no DHA(Morinaga), way cheaper than Snow.
Still, it is chimical milk, won't be good for babies as it does not contain antibody.

Dear all with breastfeeding experience here...
I am an expected mom who wish to learn more on breastfeed before I meet my baby.
Does anyone attended any breastfeeding class before you starts your breastfeeding journey?
I am considering either just attend the private hospital BF session (2 hours) or Gina's BF class (Cost close to RM200 with refreshment and almost a full day class)...
Is it worth to enrol for Gina's class?

Hi, I didn't attend any class.
I join the TBAN (the breastfeeding advocates network), a facebook group open by Gina. I learn there. You may join this group and learn some knowledge before decide to join any classes smile.gif
