0616 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: Maybank IB Research rates OSK Holdings (5053.KU) at Short-Term Buy based on charts with upside targets at MYR2.08, then MYR2.18. Technical analyst Lee Cheng Hooi says stock of investment broking house made a daily Wave 2 low at MYR1.27 in August with grossly oversold signals, but recent gains above 19-day, 50-day moving averages supported by high volumes suggest "very firm upward trend." Adds, strong positive crossovers from daily signals supportive of firm upward tone. Stock last +1.0% at MYR1.93; resistance at MYR1.97, then MYR2.28. On downside support at MYR1.91, then MYR1.56; stop-loss at MYR1.54.

Malayan Banking Bhd, the country’s biggest bank, said it’s continuously assessing various propositions and opportunities that would bolster its regional ambitions.
The company was responding to queries over a report in the Edge Financial Daily that said Malayan Banking, or Maybank, may be interested in acquiring OSK Holdings Bhd.
“If and when a suitable and definite opportunity materialises, the Maybank group shall make the relevant announcements of any material information at the appropriate time,” the bank said by e-mail today. -- Bloomberg


Looks like tomorrow gonna be a TA vs sentiment fight on OSK. Today it just stay near its support.

lee cheng hooi might have already had positions in it, or tried trading today's run up. personally i feel OSK already dealt the final blow. (no serious talks with Meybenk)

want to ask u guys, normally how many % profit you guys will sell?

usually anything above 20%, if trend not strong.
if strong trend then just let it run with 5% trailing stop.

if warrants 50% above

Depends on situation. There are about 50% of stocks that I will not sell, cause either it moves slower than snail and also because those stocks keep giving me passive money, so why refuse that. As for growth stocks, I do keep some, even at 100% paper profit. Usually about 50-80% consider ripe - which is why my portolio can grow about 20-xx% per year. 50/2 = 25%

First you need to decide if you wanna sell (manyak sifu here no sell 1) ... if yes, then

1) sell at resistance ?

2) sell when it hit your trailing stop to protect your profit ?

3) sell when you feel you earn enough lio (FATT TILL BEH TONG LIO and need to smell the money) ?
