LOL. There it is in black & white. Isn't that miles different from the love serenade they gave us pre-launch? I really hate being taken for a ride and feel no sympathy for the consumer backlash they're getting now. Schadenfreude.

And then if you want to have your account re-activated, you need to pay certain charges to re-activate your account?

i want YES service in my phone. but i dont wan their phone.

+1.

Very Very obvious way to earn money.

If someone is going to be a light surfer, how can they expect people to buy the handphone from them just to use their internet?

QUOTE(Dothan @ Nov 20 2010, 10:32 AM)
Dude, the problem is lying on your phone. Your phone hardware is not supporting the WiMax transmission.
Either get a mifi or stick to your 3G band.
*
I think i am gonna stick with the old school phone.

QUOTE(darx84 @ Nov 20 2010, 01:33 PM)
If you guys have not purchase this yet, i would advise not to buy this product. According to the YEScare center, every month minnimum have to topup RM30. Lets say you need to RM45 and you top up RM50 RM5 will be forfeited at the end of the month. WTF!!! I think I will go back to DIGI than. At the launch i check the speed is 4 to 5 mbs now at home i am getting 2.5mbs dl speed. THIS IS ALL A GODAM SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*
I definitely say NO to YES.

QUOTE(xngjn @ Nov 20 2010, 01:47 PM)
haha. i say correct already. they just update a statement "Hi all, we are very sorry for the delay. Thanks for all your support, traffic to yes.my has been overwhelming and unfortunately we've also been getting DoS attacks. Fixing it as we speak. Be patient, try to come back later."

they hav get DDoS atk at 1st day. lol

LOL.

Are there any Malaysian Telco being hit by DDOS attack in the first day of launch?

I will quote my own post in response to chris2k:

Now tell me whether this God-fearing man is a liar or not:

"It will have the lowest rate in the industry with no monthly commitment and conditions" - Tan Sri Francis Yeoh Source: Today's Star newspaper.

He always talk about God, but lie through his teeth? Thanks to the internet, your lies never go away.

Whoever is tweeting their account or running their social media campaign should be fired. First of all, tweeting from multiple Blackberries. Shows a complete lack of organization. Not to mention the tweets are coming from multiple iPhones, an iPad (via Echofon), several Tweetdecks, the web, mobile web....... they don't even have a proper command center for their media campaign. I'm just waiting for a tweet that isn't verifiably/authorized by the company, like CIMB's 'Cock' tweet on their company twitter page. From that (and the lack of security I discovered when I poked around their portal pre-launch) I can guess that this DDOS thing is a lie.

Wait till u discover more about their plan and payments.

Also try ask them about the extra money u reload, will they get forfeited by the end of the month if you can't finish them.

Getting SAD answers from the Customer Services.

I bought the dongle, and now quit before i register after finding more and more secrets about YES.

Well, I tried to register online.  While going through the personal details and then being asked of Credit cards and pin.

Then before clicking procees, we have to click , read the terms and conditions.  Somehow I feel bad and doesn't really trust this business model from YES.  A lot of people never bother to read all these terms and conditions then come yelling at customer services just to be quoted with the clauses.

Read them yourself especially about the maintaining the MUR MINIMUM USAGE REQUIREMENT.  Read more.

I bought the device dongle and now i think i just quit YES before I even manage to create an account.

Most of their informations are HIDDEN and unable to access online.  Most of the links linked back to their MAIN PAGE instead of the page we wanted to see.  How can a company openly promote and written in papers about no commitment fees and so on yet placed lots of hidden stuffs inside.  THE MOST SIMPLE PLAN OF THEM ALL!~ LOL.

wow u bought the donggle aredy...

their website still cannot load sweat.gif

This is what I understand from the T&C: your credit gets auto-burned to make up 30 bucks if you don't use the minimum 30 bucks:

example:

reload RM1000
1st month use 30 (> 30)
remaining credit: 970

2nd month use 10
they burn 20 (to make up min 30 usage)
remaining credit: 940

3rd month you use 50 (>30)
remaining credit: 890

4th month you don't use
they burn 30 (to make up min usage)
remaining credit: 860

5th month you don't use
they burn 30 again
remaining: 830

6th month you don't use
they burn 30 again
remaining: 800

7th month you use 60 (>30)
remaining: 740

like this.

How i understand The rebate is calculated:

reload RM120
1st month use 120 (4GB worth)
remaining credit: 0

2nd month they give you rebate RM36 (at 30%, means RM9/GB rebate)
you use 20 bucks
not enough 30 min, so they burn 10
remaining credit: RM6 rebate

3rd month you don't use
they burn 30 again
remaining credit: -24

4th month you don't use
they burn 30 again, and bar your account
remaining credit: -54

5th month you don't use
they burn 30 again
remaining credit: -84, and account still barred

6th month you don't use
they suspend your account

7th month you want to use
pay back RM84, plus any reconnection fees which they didn't mention
remaining credit: 0
so obviously you have to top up money to use

This is like ah long business.

They are probably using co-tweet to do their delegation of twitter replies which would explain the different devices used

I checked the top corporate Twitterers. Their tweets are using Co Tweet, Hootsuite, sprinklr or at least have a standard replying method. Twitter from iPhone/iPad/BB feels like they didn't do their homework properly, or no proper management. And their yescare twitter page is totally empty (or account just opened yesterday).

Look for yourself, me, an amateur, can find this info. I wonder how much they paid their agency.

http://twitter.com/attnews
http://twitter.com/VERIZON
http://twitter.com/comcastcares
http://twitter.com/htc
http://twitter.com/starbucks
http://twitter.com/wholefoods
http://twitter.com/cimb_assists
http://twitter.com/delloutlet

Well, at least it's good for me as a case study to see what not to do when launching a brand. Can write this in my thesis for my MBA.

Not only that.

I hope that they won't be responsible for causing the other telcos to change their Internet billing methods.
