QUOTE(digilife @ Nov 19 2010, 09:36 PM) i am comparing rm67.50 to rm68.00, maxis rm68 for 3GB, celcom rm68 for speed of 384 kbps and Digi rm68 for EDGE speed anyway, think another way and remember what our minister always said in Parliament. Please do not bring Apple and Orange come to compare. Therefore, with RM67.50 may be you can get 100 of apple and RM68 will be 80 oranges. Quantity of nutritious also different. |

I also come back from the launch just now.
I actually show their technical guy that their internal pages cannot be loaded even on their PCs during the launch. He admitted that the servers are overloaded and he can't do much about it. I enquire why all the access point at the launch are all pointing to IP range of 124.xxx.xxx.xxx and he said that how they configure it. It seems their servers are hosted in oversea and their pipe couldn't sustain the traffic volume during the launch. I wonder if their dongle can work with any of those 3G wireless router. If not then the next option is to get the hubble. However they couldn't tell me at what speed the WLAN are operating at. The gateway is only available in Dec but the problem for me is that it only has one LAN port. It forces every machine to use WLAN to connect to it instead of a wire connection. I guess I will wait for other service provider to review their price before I change my data plan. |

While waiting for the link to load, I was looking at the URL displayed at the botton of the browser and it doesn't look familiar to me. Now that I am at home I took a peek at their page source and noticed they use eXo Platform for their portal and ECM. I wonder if this platform could be the source of the slowness.
I am not familiar with eXo Platform so I don't know how robust is it in handling the kind of traffic everyone is throwing at it like just now. Just a thought. |

QUOTE(xngjn @ Nov 19 2010, 10:14 PM) yes... u still can keep ur current phone, but u still need to buy the huddle from them , pair it with ur phone, then online.. if no, buy phone from them .. lolx QUOTE In telephony, 4G is the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards. It is a successor to 3G and 2G families of standards. A 4G system is expected to provide a comprehensive and secure all-IP based solution where facilities such as ultra-broadband (giga-bit speed such as 100+ MiB/s) Internet access, IP telephony, gaming services, and streamed multimedia may be provided to users. Pre-4G technologies such as mobile WiMAX and first-release 3G Long term evolution (LTE) have been available on the market since 2006[1] and 2009[2][3][4] respectively, and are often branded as 4G. Current versions of these technologies do not fulfill the ITU-R requirements of data rates approximately up to 1 Gbit/s for 4G systems. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4G so GENERALLY, wimax - YES, cannot be consider as 4G as they dun meet ITU-R requirements of 4G connection and system, however they decided to name it 4G .. just to confuse ppl i guess This post has been edited by ciohbu: Nov 19 2010, 10:19 PM |

QUOTE(razornick22 @ Nov 19 2010, 10:20 PM) Wimax is long existed when Time got Webbit service. Jaring (2004) is an excellent Wimax service with their exclusive 2.5ghz radio frequency which less interference and more reliable and stable then P1 Wimax 2.3ghz. |
