Brown or blue switches... Hmm... Hard decision.
I love the sound, but at the same time I use the computer a lot during the night and my family is sleeping...

I would like to get blanks for all my alphabet keys...
Do they sell keyboards like that, or do I have to buy the blank keycaps myself? Anywhere recommended for me to get those blanks? Planning to buy a filco blue, or a Ducky Blue... Haven't really made my mind... Ducky's design is really mouth-watering but Filco's quality is unmatched... |

QUOTE(OCN_fssbzz @ Dec 8 2010, 04:42 AM) like something like this? Something like that, except that I want the alphabets to be blank only. Don't want the Ctrl, Alt, 1-0, symbols etc to be blank. Kinda hard to remember those keys. I can only remember alphabets lol.my full blank ducky 9008 ![]() ducky 9008 quality are very good. quality issue only happen on ducky 1087 tenkeyless version. Added on December 8, 2010, 4:43 am ya. those clicky sound drive me nuts. and the crispyness of cherry mx blue, i don't like it at all. As for Ducky, the quality is good but when compared to Filco a lot of reviewers say Filco is better, as it uses a heavier backplate and stuff. What do you think? QUOTE(OCN_fssbzz @ Dec 8 2010, 10:54 PM) ducky use aluminum plate. filco use regular metal plate. Filco is sturdier in a way, Ducky do flex a bit when applies with some pressure.that's why ducky are lighter. for full size ducky. ducky have very good quality compare to filco. http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Island:13063 i will say ducky fully win with the features, and design. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1zc1mLYQxs&feature=related Though Ducky has some really irresistable functions to offer... It's hard to consider. |

Added on December 9, 2010, 5:39 pmWhat are the advantages/disadvantages of buying from vr-zone and PChome? Does the PChome only come with the version with Chinese lettering? This post has been edited by xcen: Dec 9 2010, 05:39 PM |

QUOTE(yimingwuzere @ Dec 9 2010, 05:01 PM) That's outta my price budget, as much as the mixed keys sound like a good idea. Why is this Ducky so much cheaper compared to others? Was actually looking at this: http://global.pchome.com.tw/?mod=item&func...0X&ROWNO=2&tm=u Am I missing anything? The normal Black on Black costs USD106, and the PBT ones are USD128. This is just USD68... Btw @Moogle Stiltzkin, yeah you're right. Leopold's logo is ugly lol. So far after studying PChome's website, I have found the following: (note that I only studied the Cherry Brown and Blue switches, I left out the Black switches. And I left out the 10-keyless versions too.)
1. Standard ABS keycaps with pad-printed white letters are USD 118.63. (EDIT: There's also blank caps version) http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra...XWlNTvR-FnaFcyQ and http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra...4objx8U2Qy_Zuow 2. PBT keycaps with laser-etched brownish letters are USD 128.02 (EDIT: PBT ones only come with Chinese-accompanied lettering.) http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra...YeBK76OnH6OaWOA and http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra...jPmnRgMNXz_JLMw 3. Black on Black keycaps are only available in Blue switches, they cost USD106.11, and they come with a free full set of Black on Black keys. http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra...NVGiDEs-NzDXpMg 4. There is a special version which costs only USD68.55, the keys are a bit different, they hav the large format enter keys and some blue colored letterings. I still don't know why they cost so cheap. (EDIT: These come with Chinese-accompanied lettering only also.) http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra...DuyTflbSVrY-Wbg and http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra..._rfvdOaoOLDfM6g This post has been edited by xcen: Dec 9 2010, 10:41 PM |

QUOTE(jasmineivan @ Dec 9 2010, 08:36 PM) Don simply decide, tomorrow is the Digital lifestyle expo already. Go there and try out. If you prefer the MX Blue why not just get a BW, much more cheaper also. http://www.pikom.org.my/cms/General.asp?wh...=22664&CatID=39Anyway i will stick to my 7G which is no click compared to the clicky MX BLue. Somemore I hate the tiny palm rest of BW which more like decoration more than palm rest. I went to this website and I didn't see any segment where it is dedicated to computer peipherals. How or when can we try the keyboards? |

Just found out that the PBT and cheap USD68 ones only come with Chinese accompanied lettering.
Added on December 9, 2010, 10:42 pmWhy did they put the promotional pictures in the PBT ones that it comes with English lettering when you are only allowed to buy the Chinese accompanied ones only? This post has been edited by xcen: Dec 9 2010, 10:42 PM |

QUOTE(yimingwuzere @ Dec 9 2010, 10:45 PM) Do you mean like in the display pics on the website? So it comes with both English and Chinese lettering? The display pic in the site shows that the PBT one comes with English only lettering. While the option to buy it only allows chinese+english lettering.Anyway, vr-zone's MO is actually not that expensive. Forgot that they are in SGD while PChome's is in USD. |

QUOTE(OCN_fssbzz @ Dec 9 2010, 11:11 PM) because it says Didn't notice they give free leather wrist rest for this version! As for the black blank key cap, PChome also sells it no? There is an option stating '无刻键盘‘送★皮質護腕墊 http://global.pchome.com.tw/?mod=item&func...6378&c=A05&tm=u and i bought it. and i get free wrist rest and a free mousepad. you can only get Black blank key cap, from Armygroup. white keycap, you have to do custom order with KBC. |
