i wonder will there be a HD 6990 vs GTX 595?

1 thing is certain, 6970 will b cheaper den gtx580

If RM 1000++ only, it's surely BEST BANG FOR BUCKS. But, I think it's impossible.
It should be around RM 1200-1400.
While Radeon HD6950 should be around RM 1000.

it should b the same price range like when first 5870 came out but with stronger performance/new architecture/cooler/silent

Very likely to happen if it doesn't beat GTX580's performance (RM 1500?). If it does beat, then I'd expect around RM 1600 for HD6970 and RM 1200 for HD6950. RM 2000 for HD6990. Don't forget the markup price in Malaysia

hopefully 6970 can beat 580 and then the price will b on the same range. ppl will pick 6970 anytime

The price will drop after a couple of month or depend on Nvidia's market strategy, we can't regret once we bought it

i bought it earlier this year not yet 1 year bah.. lol.. i dun like midrange becoz i feel only half way and always think its not enuf juice for my games

wa u sound like 5850 is bad card . not every 1 rich like u ma.

5850 now at rm600 price range still 1 of the best gc around .

I think he mean that fortunately he didnt take 5850 because of the price of that time and now is one huge difference.

Agree with you, 5870 still can play many games with max graphic! If I were you, I will get another 5870 if price drop again

lets see how but im not really into cf-ing.. probably nid to change the cooler of my reference card first and see if the slots fit

5850 served me well for 1 year already for my resolution. I enjoyed my game very much with high settings

Juz wanna ask noob questions here:
1. Im now using HD4870...and i want to upgrade to let say HD5000 and HD6000 series...the slot is still same right?
2. Is there much power different between them(mentioned above)..i scared my psu not enough...

1) yes, same

2) 5k series ad even 6870 is more power efficient compared to 4870. so if u can run 4870, sure u can run even 6870.
