Guide updated

1) Add in extra steps for:

SET locale "enUS"
SET Portal "TW"

2) Remove My card reload section and added text to advise E-play as reload platform

Just wondering, I reformatted my computer and loading the WoW EN Client but it will automatically update to 5.05xxx would that still allow me to play on TW Server?

Unless thats any update that im not aware of, else should be playable.

As long as the gameclient is the same version as the TW

Without proxy around 100.

Obviously i cant give u an accurate answer, but confirm better than US and Oceanic.

Trust me in this. I switch to TW mainly because of the latency

Whether you are Malaysian or Australian, we welcome you to the guild.

However, we are strictly Alliance guild atm. Although previously we do have plans to support Horde guild, but ultimately we drop the plan.

You may get in touch with "Instant Noodle" (LYN nick), he play in TW too and in Horde, but probably not English guild.

guys, need your feedback?

Patch 5.0.5 is going live. So as usual, those early updater not able to play with english client?

Yes no?

Im just guesing because, i receive only 1 feedback

If already updated and still want to play.

Here's are 3 options available for you.

a) wait until wowtaiwan update, which is thursday every week

or

b) Copy the launcher.exe of old patch 5.04 and replace your 5.05 exe, it should work (as usual backup 1st)

or

c) reroll the client back to 5.04 - not recomended

To avoid early update

Important Notes:

The instruction given in this thread is to put as following:

QUOTE
set realmlist tw.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist enUS.patch.battle.net:1119/patch
set realmlistbn ""
set portal tw

As u can see, the above allow u to play wowtaiwan, using US client while downloading patch directly through US.

This conveniently allow u to update and continue the game.

However this also result in early updates of patch or hotfix (i think there is some options to disable auto updates)

What i do is, i use the following

QUOTE
set realmlist tw.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist zhTW.patch.battle.net:1119/patch
set realmlistbn ""
set portal tw

When i need to update, i change back the realmlist.wtf

QUOTE
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist enUS.patch.battle.net:1119/patch
set realmlistbn ""
set portal tw

Usually i just copy and replace.

By doing this, i wont get early updates.

Then, switch back to Taiwan to play.

1) wow US got update.

So i updated and change it back to tw realm list, and same result as you, no realm available.

Personally i dont know if its because of maintenance or something wrong until someone using tw client and able to tell me if they can log in.

But usually tw maintenance on thursday, which is today.

TIme will tell

SSH is a network protocol for secure data communication and remote command execution.

mean your acct login / password is safe with the tunneling services provider . if they using SSH.

like Ultima proxy tongue.gif

Most universities/colleges might only enable specific ports, usually 80 and 443 are not blocked. You may want to consider enabling ports like port 443 for tunneling.

Anyone know how to register a taiwan wow account now? The instruction on the front is obviously outdated.

I assume it has to do with created a new battle net account in TW using taiwan as country. Or is there anyway to add the wow into existing SEA / US battlenet account?

Trying to pull one friend in to get more pandas.
