Is it suggestable to have someone who cannot read Chinese play TW server? I'm doubting communication problems when doing PUG instances/raid.... what is your opinion?

When WoW was firstly introduced, it was only 4GB. It's kind of crazy to hear that it's 23 GB in size right now.

And so, I decided to find a client to download.

I found out that starting from WOLTK, there's no need to install your WoW in sequence, WoW Vanilla -> Burning Crusade -> WOLTK.

It seems that startinf rom WOLTK, it automatically contains the whole Game Client which includes the previous expansion. This seems to be the case for Catalysm as well. Thus the full client is only about 10GB.

If the above case is true, then the installer from Battle.net is sufficient, which also contain about 10GB of the whole game.

I've decided to download the ISO file from somewhere else... since I cannot get maximum speed from Blizzard =/.

By the way, I've also read that Catalysm has encrypted the realmlist.wtf. Since you guys still can play, I assume it's still working?

Do you mind providing the following information.

1. Where did you download your WoW Client? Battle.net?
2. How did update your client
3. What is your client version as of now?

Actually the loader has a benefit, that is it will check for spywares before hand. This is like security beneifts.

If the loader doesn't work, you will need to use WoW.exe, which directly launch into the game. That is normal.

Does anyone know how to use the patch from wowwiki? From 4.0.3 onwards the files are in .MPQ.....

I assume that the launcher will still try to download files? Because it's attempting to download another 6GB of patches....

Accidentally launched the Launcher. Now I'm screwed, a Hotfix to 4.0.6a was just released 2 hours ago on the US client.

the patchlist url for US no longer works. It seems like this is the latest working URL,

The latest patch on the US server is 4.0.6a where as TW server is at 4.0.6. If you complete your update before TW updates to 4.0.6a, you will not be able to play.

However, if you are seeing 4.0.6.13596, then don't run the launcher after you have completed downloading because it will upgrade to 4.0.6a which TW doesn't support yet.

wow taiwan, doubt u need to consider about tunneling services.

wow is all about gears. Any toon would still be equally fun to play. Just decide if u want to be a damage dealer or supporter since all the toons are based on their talent building.

I think there are many ways you can make a payment. Would you mind listing which option is the most convenient for you? Your best bet is to find a 3rd party seller that could help you purchase something over in Malaysia but maybe with an additional fee.
