try installing tweak flash plugin..and if u dare,try to OC to 800-900mhz..but bear in mind that not all game in facebook can play in N900...

A sad story to tell,
My phone encountered keyboard problems 2 days ago, when texting with num lock and cap lock, phone went blank then exit to desktop with messg " internal error, application closed".

Since it's still under warranty (hardly 1 mth), sent back to NCC for reformatting this morning. OOOoo waited for 3 hours and flashed twice, they pronounced my phone "brain dead" , problems with motherboard.

And the worse part is N900 is being treated as "ET" rare species there, technical ppl not quite competent to treat it .

Endess waiting for me now, probably 1 to 2 mths for the replacement.....sad sad sad

yes..the Staffs at NCC doesnt really know how to operate the N900..its good to hear that you will get the Replacement phone.. rclxms.gif

hmm.gif Seems like eMMC problem...
Warranty claim should not take more than 1 month.Call the NCC to update them about your phone.

Dead N900 are very rare.So far including your case we only have 2% of failure.It's acceptable rate.
It's also true than N900 system build is different from normal Nokia phone including N8.
You can still feel ok since the Zitron warranty coverage will solve any problem for you.

actually its not only NCC. If u send outside to random people its worse.
Janet i recommend u to go to another outlet and check or maybe call to the centre and tell your problem.

Is there anyway that I could demand for a new phone ? NCC is run by partner Mobile Technic , i will be glad for a new phone replacement shorter waiting time...

What is your opinion, Master Alien ?

Ya, maybe should go HQ in Amcorp Mall for second opinion......minutes b4 sent it for checking still can sms, make call, go on line etc. After they flashed it, dead totally .....suspicious rclxub.gif

Well...All NCC's are required to run their usual diagnosis process before repairing the product.
The only way you can do now is visit/call NCC every few days & ask about repair process.You can also remind them that you phone is less than 1 month old.Some technicians put newer phones on priority list.

No no no NEVEREVER SEND THERE. I send my Nokia 8800 carbon arte for them to check 1 week. Check only
I recommend you to send to the NCC 1 utama

The best solution for you call all the NCC centre explain to you when can get stock then confirmed only send it in.

If it's eMMC problem, is it due to apps (extra-devel) that i downloaded that crashed it or is it defective parts in the unit itself (poor Nokia QC) ?

i sent my N900 to berjaya plaza NCC because of my wifi problem..they said they will upgrade the software..but i told them i've flashed (they dont understand flash,so its upgrade) numerous times, but it still the same..

i told them to check the antennae..they said have to leave the phone at NCC..i said ok laaaa..of coz laaa have to leave...

then, they didnt even bother to call me when its ready..i called them asking if the phone is ready for collection then they said yess...i was like.. "wtf,y didnt u inform me?"..they said "sorry sir..we are very busy"..i said ok la..

then,when i arrived, i asked the staff..what did they do to the phone?has the antennae been checked?to my surprise...they said they only upgrade software..so here goes the dialog..

me = what did u do to the phone?
staff = we have upgraded the software for you sir
me = didnt i tell u that i have already upgraded the software so many times?i asked you to look at the antennae..not to upgrade..
staff = after software upgrade, all ok already...
me = since u just upgraded the software, u didnt even bother to call me when its ready for collection??
staff = sorry sir..but the problem has been solved..
me = ok then..but if the problem is still there..i'll smack your forehead laju2..

then i went back home..tested..still the same..sometimes can connect,sometimes dont..i was like fuk...they dont even have wifi connection at the centre for me to test.wasting my time/petrol..

any idea where is the most recommended NCC to go?

everyone normal usage is diff.
eg how many hours of wifi,3g
how many smses, how long phone calls etc

wow lucky mine bought from other forumer used set for 800 bucks still can use just like new, no scratches fullset smile.gif
