i have been going thru some of the system folders.

there seems to be some undocumented changes all over PR1.3

just small stuff, more for us to tweak i guess...

What does the Vsync/Wsync do actually???

At where we can test the changes?

newly flashed = feels faster.

placebo effect.

so envy u all installing so many stuff lately. The wasting part is n900 do not have multi touch support

actually, N900 does not have vsync. thats why the animation in the UI looks like shit compared to iphone.

you can see a lot of tearing, esp in animated menu, desktop and transitions and while you scroll.

iphone has vsync, thats why everything looks buttery smooth.

i just feel enabling that option that i found does make the desktop animation a bit smoother.

but it could just be me... cos i was not using any transitions earlier, and i have not installed transition control after flashing to PR1.3

its just a matter of opening that file in text editor and changing the value to =1

no way to test if it actually works, cos i dont have another PR1.2 device to test.

also i cant remember if PR1.2 had that settings, but as far as i can remember i didnt see something like that...

anyone still with PR1.2 can confirm ?

thanks for the tip jananan, ui definitely seems a lil smoother now, especially when heavy multi-tasking. but not 100% sure since my device has been freshly flashed . anybody still on 1.2 to confirm?

you need to install rootsh first. Since you have no internet connection, you can't install it.

I suspect your did not connect successfully to your wifi router/modem. If you got go somewhere with wifi connection, try install rootsh and Ip Address widget.

IF you did extend the /home/ partition can you try flash the whole device back with vanilla flasher to see whether the /home/ partition reset back to 2GB?

I've been looking at the folders too.Saw some minor changed but yet to check the files inside it.
Maybe this weekend.

I did have plan to expand my /home/ partition but was afraid that it will impossible to reverse it.
But I do have feeling that flashing with Vanilla will restore everything.

seems like sifu super is a bit more on the serious side nowdays..
