I faced the same problem as N900rocks...

but i approach it differently via winscp + your method and meli...

In my laptop i create a folder and name it "applications" and put the extracted folder "com.ea.app.nfsuc" in it.

Then i just drag that folder "applications" to /home/user/

then i:-

in x-term

sudo gainroot <enter>

cd /home/user/applications/com.ea.app.nfsuc/ <enter>

chmod +rwx nfsuc <enter>

preenv <enter>

desktopgen appinfo.json <enter>

Go to Desktop Add Shortcut NFSU

Voila....it runssssssssssssssssss.........


Now...to test the golf and the sims...

if your wifi has password, make sure it is typed correctly.

you can try restarting the phone / modem.

i did a couple of time

Did you use your internet connection via fast connect (tap on the screen) or u go to settings>Internet connections and set it up manually?

If u did it auto...try do it manually...i faced the same issue b4.

Try clearing the cache/browsing history etc etc too~~

i think ur using the old version. the new one, Javi ( the emulator creator ) updated for those two errors in those games.

in xterm

sudo gainroot

apt-get remove preenv

apt-get install preenv

it looks like its just reinstalling the same thing, but Javi updated the repos with the new version.

just updated my phone to pr1.3 just now
on previous PR1.2 i also experiencing the same thing

@super, assasin's creed, brain challenge, monopoly are now working for preenv. Javi said in his thread that he still hasn't added all the patches, so a new version of preenv should be forthcoming, and shud be able to support KO boxing and a few others as well.

Anyway the preenv, need to install the old preenv before upgrading to the latest preenv?

Check if your N900 successfully obtained IP Address (you can know easily if you have IP widget)
If not you can check from X-Term
sudo gainroot
ifconfig

Check under wlan0, make sure there is value for "inet addr"


If there is, it could be your DNS not obtain properly. DNS is the one that let you resolve those names instead of IP Address. I'm not sure how to check in X-Terminal, but for Windows, we can check via the Connection Properties or using ipconfig /all.
You can edit your connection manually in N900 and manually set the DNS. If you're using normal Streamyx, the DNS is:
202.188.0.133
202.188.1.5

i can connect via 3g without problem
but with my homw wifi the "microB can't find the server" appear.

delete the connection and set up back at settings.

if u had the old one installed, need to remove and reinstall. if you haven't then just install normally.

1. Are you connected? Able to obtain IP?
2. If yes to (1), then probably it's the DNS problem, you can set you connection manually. The DNS, you can check from your PC connected and able to surf. Check from the connection properties.

i thought u said u reinstalled preenv, and when you run sims cannot save? why now different story?
