i m still recommending this notebook for anyone who want maximum portability with ability to play all recent game.

CES 2011 starts tomorrow, there is probably a wave of new notebooks with SB coming in, i really hope to find super thin and light notebook with discrete GPU!

6550 is using the same core like 5650. the only differences are:

1. 6550 has additional 0.05 volt mode. so, at max performance, the GPU will use 1.05 volt, it will draw more power (drain a little more power). But due to more voltage, it can OC up to 850mhz!
2. The default core speed of 6550 is 50mhz more than 5650.

6550 is definitely a little better. but you are not missing anything (much) if you have 5650. using MSI Afterburner, you can easily OC your 5650 from 550mhz to 600mhz. the last batch of 5650 is very OC-able due to its maturing productions.

if u still feel bad, imagine what you have to live with without your 5650 in the last 2 months

I was planning to ask my friend to get for me from US cause they do sell them there.
Now I don't need to worry about warranty and charger.
But the one that I wanted to get from US is a 4820 thus a 14incher.
Don't we have that in M'sia?

An i3-380M or 370M is sufficient enough for a user like me right?
Just use Office and Surf internet and occasionally watch football & movies on it.
Does this unit come with a HD screen?

Received the 3820TG, the lid is silver not black .
Honestly I didn't expect Acer Malaysia to release the 3820TG locally, too bad no 3820T .

Added on January 6, 2011, 2:29 pmi3 380M is more than enough for the tasks you mentioned, the 4820TG is priced at RM2499 with i5 480M. Screen is 1366x768 HD.
