now, experimenting with encoding... but seem slow... even with GPU hardware enabled, may be sifu lee can share his encoding speed also? coz he has firepro driver... may be different...

i heard got some software error with adjusting brightness is it true? i found out 5650 normal nia.. quite low entry card.. no much offering like.. unlike 540.. i never tried nvidia card b4 on laptop dunno good a not.. ati more simple for me.. nvidia quite complicated.. 1 thing i learn from my mum.. if the thing cheap go change better parts on the thing it will become worst.. i think new driver is for 6 series card & above card.. not for us purposely..

yameh? but i think not much different.. processor higher got different nia.. card to me all like the same.. 540 play ssf4 like worst than us leh.. depend the game manufacture using what brand nia.. if play dirt 2.. seriously nvidia play better leh.. but ssf4 is under nvidia.. i found out ati got better quality than nvidia.. i use my eyes compare lah.. dunno boleh harap a not..

i tried to encode with all TrueTheater option on... but it became super slow! need a few hours to encode a movie to iPad!

so, i disable all of them, then enable both Encode and Decode hardware... can now see my ATI GPU constantly at 50%-60% utilization

however, it still take a long time!

Why shouldn't it be 100% ? Since you are playing games and its using your GPU.
It doesn't have any relationship with can OC or can't OC.
Even if you overclock, the utilization will still max at 100% only. Since the limit has been raised.

You can google it. Someone nice enough shared it. I can't post the link here but you can easily find it. I'm just using it for testing the ATI Stream processor.

I noticed it takes longer time converting the same video on my Asus. Probably because it has less processing power (processor) than Dell.

My crippled HD4570 still using 10.11 driver because it is the best driver for it. I only updated the Catalyst Control Center. I know WEI (Windows Experience Index) doesn't show true performance but Graphic score reduced from 5.1 to 5.0 with 11.1, 11.3 & 11.4. It reduced more to 4.9 with 11.5.

nice kizwan. i downloaded the same file, tried convert using my notebook:

No hardware acc: 6:15 minutes
Hardware Decode only: 5:17 minutes
Hardware Encode only: 3:23 minutes

Really got improvement... up to 50%!

That takes longer than mine. I forgot to mention that I convert the video for PSP. How long it take if you enable both hardware encoding & hardware decoding?
