you can only install the 64 bit version when you do a clean install, because your OEM key is only meant for the 64 bit.

fyi, the 64bit OS is referred to as x64, the 32bit OS is referred to as x86.

edit: i think you can install 32 bit too, but have to download new 32bit drivers. i stand corrected.

well as for me , i had call acer product support. they say that seal is for 7 days 1 to 1 change warranty ( if got problem with your unit can change 1 to 1 within 1 week). If you decided to add ram, and open the back cover. the 1 week 1 to 1 change warranty will void, and can only do normal warranty. which mean must wait for part when claiming.

healthy partition (recovery) for recovery.

system reserved (for win 7) . I dunno what for but , when installing win 7, it will prompt that it will create the partition.

wow, u sure got a lot of guts to do fresh install, even without those fundamental knowledge about drivers. anyway, that's a compliment, and not a complain. curiosity makes us improve.

u should go to this link and start downloading all the drivers and install them one by one.

you didn't create the driver/application dvd? all your drivers should be there already.

32-bit also can use 4GB, but u will only get something like 3GB effectively. to make full use of the 4GB, use 64 bit.
