DO we need to charge it 8 hours before starting it up?
Or can charge and directly open it(start Windows)? |

QUOTE(a.muzzammil @ Jan 17 2011, 12:17 PM) i recommend you to get 3820tg instead of 4820tg now that it is available in Malaysia. it comes with 2 fans; 1 for CPU and 1 for GPU. it should have better heat management than 4820tg... it is also cheaper! This post has been edited by cowithgun: Jan 17 2011, 02:09 PM |

QUOTE(a.muzzammil @ Jan 17 2011, 04:17 PM) No DVD drive, no i5 version in Malaysia either...QUOTE(andyleong193 @ Jan 17 2011, 05:17 PM) Of course not, 3820TG just launched in Malaysia, where got so fast refresh new model....Besides, it's unlikely that they put Quad cores into 13 inchers, Dual core SB's only coming out in March, expect to have more 13 inch'ers with SB by then... |

Anyone managed to register the 3820TG at registration.acer.com? The product registration page doesn't want to accept my serial number. How do you guys register for warranty?

QUOTE(barca96 @ Jan 17 2011, 08:42 PM) i dont recommend to remove anything if you are not familiar with... having said that, the only program you should not remove is the Launch Manager...Added on January 19, 2011, 3:29 pm QUOTE(guppy @ Jan 18 2011, 10:00 PM) Anyone managed to register the 3820TG at registration.acer.com? Added on January 19, 2011, 3:39 pm QUOTE(eugenechiuu @ Jan 18 2011, 10:47 PM) that is good estimation. i m suspecting that it will probably less than 5 FPS... reason?fact: my default 3dmark06 = 7.6k, FPS ~ 20 (in a very heavy game at highest setting) OC 3dmark06 = 9.7k, FPS ~ 25 (in same game) estimation: so, another 2k of 3dmark06 only give me only 5 FPS... the current sandy bridge with i7-2630 (quad core) + nVidia540m 3dmark06 = 9k so, if a SB+6550 can achieve 9k, you should expect 5 FPS or less in real gaming improvement... Added on January 19, 2011, 3:46 pm QUOTE(istillmyself @ Jan 19 2011, 09:52 AM) wow, there is something fishy there... look like your may have some malware infected your machine, google for wsy.dll you will see:http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/1405884...ar?tab=comments http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic298896.html http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f10...dll-465097.html whatever it is, i recommend for you to disable that from your startup, click Start button, type "msconfig", enter. in the startup, look for the rundll or anything fishy and uncheck it... good luck! But I thought that new laptop's always come with bloatwares. Never had a brand new laptop so I have no idea. From there it's been sitting in the box for a week now |
