QUOTE(bkfeng89 @ Oct 22 2010, 01:10 AM) How bout nutrilite's soy based protein? Any of the problems you mentioned? Coz i'm actually taking that now post-workout. Check the labels and you'll most probably find sugar. And it's processed soy protein, it's not grounded soy powder. Soy protein = extraction and processing to get the protein only. <-- this is cut-throat. Grounded soy powder = soy beans are grounded down to powder form. Protein content is not as concentrated as it still contain some fibre and other stuff that the beans have. <-- this is pretty inexpensive. Added on October 23, 2010, 4:00 pm QUOTE(pizzaboy @ Oct 22 2010, 11:32 AM) So don't get suckered into this whole marketing lies. Get a pro to tell you the truth from the lies. And no, a nutritionist ain't the pro. I actually listened to a sports nutritionist once say that he didn't wanna have too much protein because it would kill his liver. I was about 1 inch away from stabbing his liver and telling him, a knife would do the job quicker. when I grow up, imma be the bestest sports nutritionist that doesn't say protein kills your kidney/liver/brain.Added on October 23, 2010, 4:02 pm QUOTE(shanecross @ Oct 22 2010, 06:45 PM) Till this very day, there isn't evidence that I have found which clearly states that a high protein diet is bad for you. Too much protein will make your kidneys go 'pop'. My sports liew-treesyenist and loctor say one.Added on October 23, 2010, 4:06 pm QUOTE(pizzaboy @ Oct 22 2010, 12:47 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « You'd be surprised by how widespread hexane is used as the solvent to extract things (oils mostly) out of food. QUOTE(BuilderBalls @ Oct 26 2010, 02:13 PM) QUOTE(law1777 @ Oct 26 2010, 03:05 PM) Milk fat provides some of the more important minerals and vitamins in milk. By drinking skimmed milk, you're choosing to not enjoy the benefits of fat. Also, fat provides the necessary calories for recovery, and slows down absorption of the proteins in milk, which also makes it very beneficial to drink before sleeping. Having said that, fat also makes the milk taste better. Thus why would you want to avoid consuming fat in milk? Here's the general idea. If it came from mother nature, don't disturb it. Consume it whole and derive it's benefits. If it came from humans, it's best to avoid it. Pop tarts, snickers, oreos, baskin robbins, yeah good choices to avoid. Whole milk, nope. |

A lot of milk in the market are not purely fresh, it do contain some chemical ingredient after the processing which is bad for our health, bear in mind with that. Just my 2 cents.

Just my 2 cents. All milk in the market are reconstituted milk (from powder)... unless it is stated 'fresh milk'.No, it's not a conspiracy or what not, it's simple economics... it's too crazy expensive to transport liquid milk from NZ to Msia. Would you pay RM 30 for 1L of fresh milk from NZ? And no, they do not contain chemical ingredient. Why spend money to buy chemicals for processing when they don't need chemicals? |
