Please don't feel that way. I do the same thing all the time whenever I use my TI (or JustOne) and I couldn't care less because I am saving money.
In reality ... not many people notice the type of card you use (IMHO), just psychologically you may feel conscious about your status but this is all in your mind.
*
nah some they really care, some have even commented, wah u have a plat at the very young age.

btw, what does IMHO mean, have always wanted to ask?

At the end of the day, it is your bank account balances that matter and not the hyped up plastic card. What is the point of holding a Platinum/World/Signature/Infinite card if you don't actually have a lot of cold hard cash ?

*
for appearance / comfortable only
hehe

aiya, platinum only mar, even a fresh grad already can get Direct Access Plat (affinity partners card). LOL. Who cares the card colour.

*
the Plat is for selected affinity partners and has a minimum income limit, which i cant remember.

*

pls dont be cruel.. most of the time we just want 2 impress/console our own self, especially of the hard works involved to achieve current stand; we're just human after all...

p.s. so many people out there dont even know about cc, so wht's wrong with self promoting once in a while...

IIANM, DA cards for affinity partners have lower income requirement than normal DA Gold cards. Most of them require only 24k, which is not difficult for fresh grad/professionals.
*
that is so
but not all can apply unless u are the selected professionals
this again, shows your status if u are one of them smile.gif

LOL. That was extracted from your previous reply. Hope you don't mind laugh.gif

You're so humorous. I cannot imagine a cc looks like a phone (italk?) card.

I was once invited by my boss to dine together with bosses. 5 pax ate RM8XX, and one of the bosses (supplier actually) really paid by cash. If I owned OCBC Ti at that time, I might have offered to pay tongue.gif
*
same here

but i wud take out my Plat in front of my boss (have to act poor) or cant let them know we are using plat same as them .

Even a lot of people is having WMC/VI cards already. People can hardly see what card you are holding, if they can see closely, better be careful. Maybe they are not looking at your shiny card status, but the numbers... cool2.gif
*
but the cashier can
like to see their impression (some they do show).

Bosses won't bother about cards. It is the banks who always chase after bosses to apply cards.
A friend of mine (a senior manager) has been Citi Gold cardmembers since 80's, I once saw his statement on his table (it was put openly on top) when I was distributing memos. It was six digits. sweat.gif
*
i wonder why havnt they upgraded him
my CLs add up also 6 digits lol rclxm9.gif

I didn't ask this question, but he revealed the reason in a non deliberated discussion abt cc.

He said he like Gold colour. Citibank had sent him Platinum card many times, but he never activated any of the cards. The bank couldn't do anything but increase his CL.

true true true
most of the Plats are not as appealing
but i like the word "P" smile.gif

Except ck3lam, has anyone else received the letter from SCB about the 5% cash back for November 2010? I inquired SCB CS officers a few times but they were not aware of this promotion.
*
I did not.

Damn! I've got an answer today. This promotion is only for selected SCB cardholders who rarely use their SCB cards. It is unfair to existing active customers. You are lucky receiving this invitation.
*
I hardly use SCB, why is it not applicable to me?
i suppose that's promotion is to make the inactive users to start using it and ultimately, "addicted" to it by when, the promotion will end.

You seldom used the card, but at least you still swiped it occationally. In fact, 5% cash back for all transactions is a very good deal although the maximum rebate is capped at RM50.
*
nvr oh, i only used it for the 1st 3 times then kept it in the cold storage.....

jz check when settling yr bill, do u all settle the "cents" by adopting the zero machnism, such as paying RM100 when the bill says, RM100.01 and pay RM101 when the bill says, RM100.5.

i always pay exactly the amount stated in the bill.

On the other hand, only Cheque payment and IBG enable payment in exact figure.
*
Do we need to make payment in exact figures given the zero machinism which is in placeD?
