Somehow to me Camry would be better than Accord. The new Nissan Teana however is something to be seen & felt.
*
You need to test drive both to feel the difference. My father decided to bught the Accord after comparing it with Camry. Accord is better overall interms of most aspects such as handling, performance, looks etc. Camry just looks to bloated and the latest facelift somehow looks desperately Audi wannabe. In terms of design, one of the most visible design aspects that you could see is the window line of both cars and you can easily differentiate which one is a real gem wub.gif . Camry 2.0 also got an old school 4 speed tranny opposed to Accord's 5 speeder.

My personal experience going head to head with my father's Accord and a Camry, from 0-190 km/h Camry don't have a chance at all to even sniff my Accord's tail flex.gif . As speed builds the gap is also increasing. Also Camry can't take corners as hard as Accord could. C'mon man, I thing I can say is Toyota now is not like Toyota of yesteryears doh.gif . In almost every Toyota cars models (models that UMW brought in) the engine will be less powerful than the Honda cars of respective segments like:
City 125PS : Vios 109PS

Accord 2.0 156PS : Camry 2.0 147PS

Accord 2.4 180PS : Camry 2.4 167PS

Civic 1.8 140 PS : Corolla Altis 1.8 140PS (civic betters in terms of torque by 1nm tongue.gif )

Jazz 125PS : Yaris 109 PS
& Etc.... ( i didn't compare the civic hybrid and the prius due to Prius'es bigger engine ( by 500cc), price) rclxub.gif

Hopefully people won't come and bash me. I'm not just a Honda fan i'm also Suzuki, Nissan man etc and only god knows how i admire the TOYOTA Supra rclxm9.gif . I'm just stating the facts. Wake up people! yawn.gif . Wake up.....

Thanx....

no, only 2.0 and 2.5, no high spec 2.0 doh.gif

so maybe i will buy 2.0 then optional upgrade to leather seat... but may cost a bomb too sweat.gif

and 2.0 keyless is damn lame... need to press remote control to open door, need to plug in the key to start the car... (altho is push start, u nid plug in the key baru can press to start) rclxub.gif
*
dont slap ur head too hard. accord started without a higher 2.0 spec too, but to remain competitive in msian market they got one out soon after. Teana too will also have a higher spec-ed 2.0 later on. reason? bcos consumer wans it, they will have it.

Added on November 21, 2010, 11:34 pmthe new 5 series looks kinda like camry from behind. contis r stealing japs idea back now LoL

anyway be it camry, accord or sonata. they r all winners in thier respective groups. its your money, you will be paying for the installments. its your choice.

this is teana thread, dont stray too far boys. or ehem...uncles smile.gif

Of course i know its his own review from his own experience. Arent we all mostly commenting based on our experience or knowledge? Kinda silly to state the obvious rite?

Opinions are always appreciated. But it should be taken across many factors not just by comparing horse power alone. I think thats silly when there are many more important factors e.g ride comfort, after sales service, resale value, specs, price, etc

not to say that i am biased against any particular car manufacturer here. before we even go into compare which car is better let me ask you all a question.

- How on earth a Philippine CBU focus TDCI can be priced around the melaka 2.0civc or the new tom yam striped down 2.0 DVVTi Altis???

- How a Belgium imported Mondeo just has a price gap of 9k with those camry or accord?

- I dont even want to bother comparing the price of the new dugong

totally dissappointed with their blood-sucking move. ETCM, although is abit late to bring in ur Teana but still it still stand fairly well with its own niche market just like the new sonata YF. Your market segment is those anti T n H followers who wan to own a D-segment car.

for me, if i got the dough i either consider the mondeo, teana and sonata.

p/s: i am expecting my 1st ever ford experience with the TDCI focus by CNY next year

Very competitive? I dont think so. The Camry 2.0E is priced RM 145K which is only 7K more expensive than the Teana. If u want to match the Camry/Accord you have to ensure your cars are priced at least 12-15K cheaper. Nissan is making the same mistake as Hyundai did with their Sonata. How many Sonata's have u seen on the road since its launch?

Plus everybody knows that Nissan will keep the same model for at least 8-10 years and keep modifying it like that they're doing with the Sentra. This thrashes its resale value.

Im sure we wont be seeing many Teana's on the road. Plus ppl already know that the new Camry is due out in early 2012.
