Went with my friend to Hyundai showroom and my friend commented on the soft seat which looked "sunken" on the brand new I45. What will happen to it after 1 to 2 years?

acterly french car seat best in the business.. dem comfy..

QUOTE(UpCar @ Sep 8 2011, 07:07 PM)

doesnt bother me. i have my own sat nav.

the more that i have to add, is when you go above 180km/h, you can see the front bonet preparing to lift off. it vibrates so badly that aerodynamics just isnt right. at peak 210km/h, it'll vibrate and flex so much, that at the sight of it, u'll just release the pedals.

the front door panels are great. you can stuff nothing into the door compartments unless they are slim. and fat fingers will never be able to dig them out.

front glove compartment is also rubbish. its so oddly shaped, you just cannot put anything feasible in there apart from small tissue boxes.
Regarding your points :

Installing your own Nav sets, won't that affect the warranty ? If not, do you have any recommendations? What is the price range? The ones offered by Nissan is rather dear. And does yours work well. Heard the reception won't be as good due to the V-Kool installed om the car.

As for the high speeds, only made one trip to KL and hit 190km/h at around Yong Peng straight. Heard some noise at the rear tyres and release the pedal. Also worried about the speed trap. Will try to take note of the front bonnet and vibration if there's a next time.

Front door panels : Fully agreed. The designers have chicken brains. Same with the glove compartment. It can't fit the owner's manual nicely.

I suspect the Continental tyres are noisy. Michelin ones are selling RM385.00 per piece. Any recommendations?

I don't intend to increase the size of the tyres, just change to another brand. I just felt that the Continental ones that came with the car are of a lower grade.

Yup, the thread also not very suitable for wet roads.

But the CVT for the Teana is the Same as the Syphy rite? I think this rubber band effect is still apparent in the Sylphy.
*
I'm not sure about that. Maybe Nissan upgraded the CVT software for the Teana even it is still the same CVT unit in the Sylphy.

The current technology of CVT as of now still couldn't eliminate the rubber band effect 100%. Even my CVT which is made in Belgium still have some rubber band effect during pick up and parking.

I guess it depends on programming,

the xtronic CVT works very nicely with large CC vehicles.. I did test drive the latest Elgrand 3.5L with CVT recently.. wow.. accelerates very swiftly for such a large giant while keeping low rpm during constant cruise speeds thumbup.gif

there are a few ways.

get a 7" player, and the display panel on top only displays air cond control.

or

get a lcd, and re-fitting, and you will lose the air cond display

or

get a 7" player with an lcd panel and u will still lose the air cond display but u will win when it comes to style.

i already have a garmin nuvi so i just mount it on my friction mount.
but i know someone in nilai who's selling the player with the gps built in, can watch dvd etc etc for under RM 1500 full set. is someone i found in the garage sales/street mart.

either way u have to lose 1 of the displays.

vkool i got rid of it around the 2nd week of obtaining the car. its just rubbish.

yes go look at the bonet. easiest way to tell is to tailgate closer at higher speeds and move 1/2 your car out. you can see the vibration more clearly when it's 1/2. if you go past 180 without tailgating, you should be able to scare yourself as i did. i shat in mah pants.

Thanks mate for the info. Sad that we have to lose some fuctions on the display. The one offered by Nissan is also inadequate.
