hi guys,

what is the best way to convert film into digital format?
*
A film scanner isnt that expensive.
A decent Canoscan 8800FF cost around 700-800 RM. Good for web viewing and small prints.
The next step up are the Epson V700, but that will cost around RM 1800-2000. But of course the scans are significantly better.
After that are the dedicated film scanners.

nowadays, digital prints are are similar if not better than darkroom prints right?
and I would think digital would be much cheaper?

Better or not is subjective :-)
I print mine in the darkroom so I'm biased. hehe.

Price wise, of course digital is cheaper.

You can get it in any lab then, just ask for a border.

Like the canister says, it's an Elite Chrome. A slide. The guy just shoot and developed it, then just roll it back into the canister.

Why black and white film so expensive ah? hmm.gif cry.gif

Is it worth it to buy B&W film and develop yourself or just cheaper to use color print film and then desaturate in photoshop? Is the end result better if you use black and white film? flex.gif
