Good for you! Most camera shops would not want to do the repair as they can only charge RM100-RM200 for a camera that is worth RM450+. If it was a Leica IIIf then they would be able to charge RM500-RM1000 for the same work!

Ya I thought so, they said cloth shutter is the worst but after I open it, the mechincal thingy quite simple and straight forward.. We need just tweak or diy ourself and can be fix easily.. now time for fix my TLR .. rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

Yes, you can clean the view finder with a cotton swab, you can try cleaning the mirror as well.

What's wrong with the TLR?

Shutter speed below 1/60 won't work.. I mean the blade will stuck half way than u touch it will become back to normal.

Sharpie + clear plastic and paste in onto the viewfinder. There's a piece of black tape on the viewfinder as well.
You can view the guide here: http://rick_oleson.tripod.com/index-165.html
I should rephrase "fixing" to "improving" instead. It doesn't fix the dim rangefinder issue, but it improves the contrast making the rangefinder patch easier to view. I also have a piece of black tape beneath the clear coloured plastic as shown in the guide here. http://rick_oleson.tripod.com/index-165.html

Cheers.

Usable I think.
Just you better overate means over expose it so the grain wouldn't be too much
