aaaarrgghhh... to me, the beta client if far far more stable then the official client...
im currently stuck out of game with error 30002 after i pick my char... 3 hours n still no ff14 for me...

I'm not going to be paying for my 1st month... After beta and my CE, I decided this game is not worth playing at the moment.

1) I hate limitations on guildleve. I'm busy, and when I have time, I play for a LONG time. Why am I limited to 4 battlecrafts and 4 fieldcrafts a day? That's stupid. I want to quest as much as I can when I have time.

2) The UI is laggy. For FFXIV, I bought 2 ATi 5850 Crossfire with a i7 6GB of RAM just to play, but the UI is laggy. Doors hardly open when I go near them.

3) People. FFXIV has the quietest community in a MMO ever. Ask a question in /sh and not a single soul answers. WTF?

4) Trade. I tried crafting, and needed some wind crystals, and I had to run for 30 minutes before finding 1 guy who sold 1 wind crystal. Seriously?

5) Mobs. Maybe the game is just launched, but there's a serious problem with respawn time. Developers are insensitive to launch dates.

I'm not gonna waste my time listing so many more reasons, but all I can say is, I quit. This game is just not worth it right now. Maybe after a year.
Don't get me wrong, I played FFXI on NA launch day and absolutely loved it. I finished every mission in FFXI hardmode including CoP hardmode and whacked every single end game boss there was in FFXI up to ToAU. Made absolute lovely memories and met friends such as Kira, but FFXIV is just not worth it.

I am giving it time. They can have my USD12.99 when they polish it.

I understand how you feeling. When I play beta FFXIV I feel so a let down. My PC is only C2D E8200 OC to 3.0 Ghz (socket 775) CPU, ram 667 (6gig) and 8800GT 512 Factory OC. I try run the game in many resolution, but best for me is 1920x1080 with low shadow, and other thing is medium or normal. But I still get a nice graphic (not the best though).

Lagging like crazy only when you in town (when so many ppl around). Very smooth sailing when you outside the city. Look like SE still have problem processing data when so many player around. I have problem with door .. but that won't stop me playing this game. Well it is better than beta when no Mouse hardware. Now you can enable it in FFconfig.

My first mmorpg is FFXI play for 4 yrs (not on launching day forgot when I start but it was 2002 or 2003) WoW 6 months, Age of Conan 4 month and War Hammer 2 months and FFXI again for 3 + 4 months (buy the latest expension for the Dancer job) . You can see I still favor FFXI.

As you know FF favor Grinding. And this time SE make game favor solo / casual too. Getting stuffs is terrible since there is AH, I have to agree with you. I hear rumor there will be one when PS3 ver come out in March 2011. I too got problem with no mobs to grind, luckily there is spot where no people around especially in Gridania ^ ^

I have to pause my kaspersky when play the game cuz sometimes it make a process make my game very jerky and make me died a few times lol.

Yup agree wait for 1 year but did you get free 30 days? Well you still can play 30days and stop before it charge you XD

Hardmode in FFXI was before the patch. When CoP came out the hardmode was nuts. Mobs in Promyvion was all IT type and bosses were much more harder. It took a whole alliance just to clear Promy last time. There was lvl cap, Omega fight was nuts because he tend to go rampage and Sea mobs were super hard to kill. I finished all those before the easymode now.

Oh you mean hardmode when it got level cap in certain mission? I have a great fun with CoP when the expension came out. But not ToAU, quit the game when I get Lieutenant I think .. cuz many of my friend quit for RL reason. XD

actually most battles for CoP are hard...

after too many ppl failing.. they had to make those bc easier and no exp penalty...

completed 75 DRG and COP quest before nerf!!! haha!

Dude, I do my all my CoP right after the expansion come out (I think some of the quest I do it twice to help friends).
For me its not that hard or special. Only I feel joy and fun because played with my fellow LS.
And that why there is no reason for me to brag about it.

I still remember every BC we have to queue up and what a long queue >.<. Even fellowship quest have to queue up lol

Will be skipping this game for now. Waiting for Star Wars The Old Republic sci fi MMO for a change.
Too many fantasy based MMO currently on the market...

If you don't want to upgrade your PC, you can wait for PS3 but you cannot get graphic quality like PC.
Your current PC can run with minimum setting. Even though minimum the graphic in FFXIV is still stunning.
You read a few post above. There is few players that not satisfied with current UI lag and etc.. maybe you can wait for a few month first.
