QUOTE(bestsane @ Oct 23 2010, 02:41 PM)
Hi guys, I need help. Just purchased my Galaxy 5.

I think there's something wrong with my clock. When I set my clock (go to setting -> Date & Time -> Set time), It doesn't show the real time on my idle screen, if I Select my time zone correctly GMT +8:00 Malaya Time).

For example, if I select my time zone as GMT +8:00 Malaya Time and set the clock correctly (let's say 8.00 am), the real clock (on idle screen) will delay by 7 hours. (in this case 1.00 am).

So if I want the Android to display the real time, I need to select the time zone as GMT +0:00 Azores Summer Time.

This is the reason why I was late for work because the alarm didn't sound!

Someone, please help me!
*
hmm.gif try set it to +8.00, reset your clock to correct time

C'mon dude don't insult my intelligence. Before going to the store which may take more than an hour from home, it's better to ask around first. That's life, boy. I've traveled far enough to see different times. It's just that it is painfully frustrating not able to do things that you can do without knowing how to do so, like setting time on a damn phone!!!!

hey, chill dude... not sure if this would help you, but try to do this. Still set your time zone back to +8.00, but after that check the first option, which is Automatic. See if this would solve your problem.

Thanks for r3ivax and StupidGuyPlayComp for solving my problem. It doesn't work for the first time, but after a few times of restarts, it worked. I think I have to go to the Samsung service center.

By the way folks, I'm looking for a case (hard case or silicon case or leather bag) for the phone, but have a hard time finding it. Ebay has only white silicone case, which is not that attractive. Anyone has succeeded in finding one? Where????
