finally we're taken off the top.
if i had to do a quick fix, it has to be Nico and Didi. they were awful last night except for a few flashes of brilliance here and there, but other than that, they didnt do their job. Ramires was best player for me. Malouda looked lazy in the first half but much better in the second. What happened to Alex was unfortunate and things like these happens, so I cant really argue much there. Teams already know how to defend against us? I dont know. hopefully Lampard, Terry and Essien's return will restart our season. |

the team looks jaded. believe it or not, we played much, much better vs birmingham although we lost that game. i worry for our front three because every time they received the ball, they look heavy-footed and lethargic. how anelka finished the game without being hauled off is beyond me. kakuta should've been thrown on, because i literally lost count of how many times nico attempted a dribble and lost possession. malouda can be excused from that description in the second half though. at least he improved enough to cause newcastle problems.
midfield was allright with ramires probably the pick of the bunch. in defense i'm not sure what happened but it was definitely a lack of communication. cheap, cheap goal to give away and my heart sank when that one went in because i notice nowadays chelsea badly need to score first in order to secure a victory. at least that was their only momentary lapse, apart from iva almost gifting ameobi a goal. kalou once again with his jekyll and hyde impression. fantastic footwork en route to getting our equaliser but couldn't put the ball into an unguarded net from 2 yards, with his weaker foot. off the top. but lamps and essien on their way back to drag us back into form again hopefully. studge to start vs everton. come on you blues! |

the team has no creativity in the midfield at all..we really can't afford missing two best MF in such a long period..as far as i can recall;
vs Liverpool : no Lamps n Ess vs Fulham : with Ess vs Sunderland : noLamps, Ess, JT, Alex vs B'ham : no Lamps, Ess n JT vs N'castle : no Lamps, Ess n JT this is not excuses, i believe Chelsea will bounce back when they return..strongly |

excuses or facts. we'll know once Lampsy, JT and Ess returns.
no one has spoken but Mikel has stepped up and said that those big players are missed. we dont know whats exactly going on the pitch when they're playing but it could be that these big players give boost or sense of security when the smaller fries play alongside them. |

I don't think we can have "absence of Terry,Essien,Lampard" as an excuse.
Look at our squad now, we don't many players with creativity/doing some good passes. The only one is Lampard. Josh is still too young, but he will step up hopefully. Another one, do we have any skillful footwork player? I can't think one. We should buy some awesome footwork winger asap. We need them. We played BETTER against Birmingham. All the passes we played against Newcastle, are lack of creativity. No through passes at all. Drogba run to deeper side, leaving NO ONE at the upfront. Not to blame him, but he's a target man. The speed we moving up our team are kinda slow. When we got the ball from opponent, our players take a lot of time to do passes and all passes ended up to opponent foot.I didn't see any single good pass/one two pass/through ball at all. We need to buy some midfielder in January transfer windows. Attacking midfielder,winger, but not box2box midfielder. Ramires had his best game with the Chelsea shirt. Well, our next match will be against Everton. Everton key man,Arteta got his red card, so he will be missing our match. Please pray for Essien,Lampard,Terry that they can come back against Everton. despite of missing Lamps, we really should have someone who can step up taking his place..the lad will be 33 next year, yet we totally rely on him..i bet the youth FA cup winning team surely have someone to fill up his boot, aren't they?Josh..Clifford..

I thought that Carlo would have put in Josh for the remaining 30 minutes but it didnt happen.
I think for a young lad to fill in Lampsy's boots is too much to ask. The legend scores a consistent 20ish goals a season added with a ridiculous number of assist. Josh is only 17. I dont see anyone that can replace Lampsy at the moment. Unless we can wait for Josh to mature, which means being patient with all the mistakes he is going to make, or we can ask Roman to get us instant replacement. lol. Added on November 29, 2010, 1:19 pmI also hope the seniors know when to quit. If not, I foresee that we're going to be the next AC Milan. This post has been edited by madfag: Nov 29 2010, 01:19 PM |

One positive thing to point out is Ramires. Againsts Zilina, he played well. Against Newcastle he played even better. His energy is one to point out. You guys do notice that he kept running till the final whistle when others barely jog. I do hope that he can keep this kind of performance, just to make sure Essien and Mikel and the rest work hard to keep their place.

yeah. Ramires has definitely improved in midfield, but he hasnt made a good goal scoring pass much? needs to work on that attack.
i do like the way he roams around midfield, even defended against Ranger who has fresh legs and two times his size. We need Frank Lampard and Michael Essien back. |

about ramires. are we all seeing different game? this person condemn ramires.
sokernet QUOTE CHELSEA VERDICT: While he was more energetic in the second half than the first, Ramires again disappointed in the centre of the midfield. His failings have been a regular feature of Chelsea's away games. funny. |
