I think you didn't finish his sentence. Yes Gallas is a solid CB without a single doubt but he's stubborn at times. So hopefully he'll be the bad side of his when we face spurs. tongue.gif

True. It's gonna be an uphill task though I'm glad that Essien's back to boss the midfield

Here's hoping for FC Copenhagen. nod.gif Bet the players won't mind their b@lls getting frozen in light of the other plausible opponents. sweat.gif

Adam Johnson 'open to Spurs bid' as David Bentley set for Blackburn loan

Adam Johnson has hinted to friends he would be interested in listening to an offer from Spurs in January, if he continues to fail to break into the first team at Manchester City.

The move could see Johnson used in a more attacking role at Spurs, where manager Harry Redknapp is building a squad of players capable of interchanging positions in support of a single striker.

Robbie Keane is already set for the Tottenham exit door because of Redknapp's one-up-front tactics, where the Irishman is fourth in the pecking order.

And the latest rumours suggest David Bentley is due to be loaned back to former club Blackburn after failing to make the grade at White Hart Lane, opening up another gap in the roster.

Johnson has been utilised on the left wing more than any other position while at City and Middlesbrough.

However, with former defender Gareth Bale impressing further forward in the Spurs line-up, Johnson would either be forced to switch to a more central position or move to the right wing more permanently.

He could also play as a winger-cum-support-striker ahead of Bale on the left, given the Englishman's natural instinct to cut inside.

Last month, Johnson hinted he would look at his options in January, admitting he would be forced to think about leaving City to progress his international career.

'Every footballer has to think about it when the time comes,' he said.

'It is still early but I definitely would consider [leaving.]'

To make room for Johnson in his already bulging squad, Redknapp is set to sell out-of-favour midfielder Niko Kranjcar to the highest bidder while David Bentley now also looks set to leave.

The former Arsenal trainee has failed to capture his best form since returning to north London - and has been dogged by the extortionate £15million fee paid to Rovers in 2008.

However, he could be loaned back to Ewood Park in January with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

Seems like everyone love Tottenham rclxub.gif wink.gif Previously Bale, Modric, Vdv, Hutton, now for Johnson? sweat.gif

Schweinsteiger just signed 5 year contract with Bayern.

I don't think Adam Johnson would want to go anywhere else except Spurs.

Mancini don't play him so often because he don't defend as much as Milner/whoever in his wing.
At spurs, he don't need to defend so much.

Let us all pray Ferreira will excel against Bale.
