and i guess we dont need to worry about drogba injury too if this is true.
QUOTE Meanwhile Malouda’s Blues teammate Didier Drogba has been dealt a humiliating snub - with Ivory Coast’s new boss telling him: 'You’ll return when I say so.' And the in-form striker has been branded disrespectful by Francois Zahoui after insisting on missing the Elephants’ last game to recover his strength. Former captain Drogba, 32, had hoped to make his comeback in their upcoming African Nations Cup qualifier in Burundi. However little-known Ivorian Zahoui, who replaced Sven-Goran Eriksson as national coach, left him out of his squad. His decision caused amazement in the west African country, not least from 71-cap Drogba - the Elephants’ all-time leading scorer. Zahoui rapped: 'Didier Drogba will make his return when I decide to bring him back. 'Drogba is not the only player in the national side. It is disrespectful to the other players to think about him alone. 'You have to show respect to the other players - who fight for their country.' dailymail |

QUOTE(Belphegor @ Nov 11 2010, 11:12 AM) Anyone got replay or highlight? Was too tired to catch the game yesterday after I rush my presentation slides. :S LOL. yeah, kissing with angry face and follow up with angry s*x They looked like they gonna kiss though. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(Belphegor @ Nov 11 2010, 11:27 AM) I think Ancelotti gonna appeal for that. Success or not still need to review on the replay. Two leg challenge, got the ball, red ah? i remembered similar case last season when Nani jump to the ball with 2 legs, straight red card. forgot which match. but for essien case, the way i see it, he's more too trying to stop from running and crash into dempsey. he's stop in front of the ball and took it. too harsh for a straight red card. |

actually its down to tactical strategy. playing Ferreira as CB is ok if he's really impress CA during training (as that's what CA said). but u dont play and assume Ferreira will perform like Terry or Alex. they should put more cover for ferreira, not just mikel only like usual tactic.
overall it was a bad performance. none of the players deserved a credit except cech. zhirkov did ok i think, at least he managed to dribble past few defenders and get a shot.. even its a wide shot. but drogba, anelka? i cant remember any dangerous attempts on gordon. ramires need more times to gel with the tactics. can see that he's trying to bring ball forward this time. but he loss the ball too easy. yougsters? nah! i would say too soon. didnt see much impact when they were brought in. maybe CA can try to start with 1 of them on separate game. to see the magic if they play from start perhaps? and CA need to be more versatile with his tactic. too comfortable with 4-3-3. |

QUOTE(madfag @ Nov 15 2010, 11:48 AM) damn! i was thinking the same thing. you're right, but I dont know how the fans there would take that kind of approach. yes, since we're stretched thin of personnel, why didnt we play more defensively and hit on the counter. we're crippled at the back anyways? besides, our counter attacks are quite good too. why CA need to care about fans at this point of time. if the tactic can deliver something rather than lose 0-3 at SB, why not. chelsea can play defensively once in a while, if needed. worst case scenario, put 3 DM (lets play anti football if before they can play Malouda as LB, why not put in Mikel as CB. at least he defend better. LOL. then u can have Josh started the game. (ok, dreaming too much). |

its not crowded. its an attacking left side. even if zhirkov not playing, normally its lampard playing there. he do attack a lot also. the difference is he's box-to-box type, always there to help defense line. not balance is the better description.
but hey, this didnt become a topic when Chelsea won |

QUOTE(madmoz @ Nov 15 2010, 02:35 PM) i like your left. nice neat triangles/interplay and very good going forward. probably need a defensive midfielder scampering sideways (ala what Mascherano does best) to provide some cover and you guys are set. Doesn't Essien do that for you guys anyways. normally its mikel who do the job to cover. it's much better when essien or lampard type is playing, they always track back the ball. it would be neat if you guys have kept johnson and therefore have a similar setup on the other flank. poor guy's wasted with us... but don't get me started on our uncle in charge oh no, your uncle is doing great so far (for us lah) |
