@mike,
I'm using Curve 8900 5.0.0.1067 with Celcom on BIS Professional Lite. I'm unable to go into the engineering screen. I've tried multple times and confirm that all are correct. While tethering, i open services option and it says connected to BIS.
*
If U cannot do further into the Engineering screen mean you key in incorrect info. I also need to tried few times to get inside.

I think will be faster if there is constant tethering.

Hey folks. Need some advice. A fellow merchant (who allows me to do a 12month easy payment) has given me an option of buying a PlayBook. But comes at 16gb flavour. Just wanna ask if 16GB is worth the investment, or try to find a 32GB set instead?

Fast quick honest reply appreciated.

If you dont want to put all your music collections into PB and dont mind doing some upkeep on large movie file.
16GB is more than enough.

The App is usually very small in size. Except Need for Speed which is 300+mb.

Ah, thank you very much for the feedback mikelanding. I am much assured after reading your feedback.

I hope I can get a PlayBook and I hope the experience is as good or even better than what I would hope for.

be reminded that if you plan to play games on PlayBook, just don't. Go buy iPad for the apps. But for superior surfing and Flash and business apps, PlayBook wins against most tablets on the market.

Anyone got good lubang for PlayBook accessories?

The PlayBook bro, the PlayBook! My bad for causing panic.

Been lookin' for a 32GB unit, heard its below 2K. The 64GB unit's like RM2.5k. Way above budget.

Guide: How to Have Playbook Tethering & BIS Access at the same time

As a Playbook AND BB user, there are many way to get connect. 1 of them is tethering to your BB phone. But during tethering, your BB will disconnect from BIS and a msg "Modem Mode Enabled" will appear.
As a powerful user, I need my bb to alway connected to BIS while I still want to tethering for the same time.
I saw some tricks at crackberry forum and want to share with U guy.

The step as below:
1) First U need to get into Engineering Screen aka Help Me screen. U can do this by pressing alt+ RIGHT aA +H in homescreen. Screen below will pop up:
user posted image

2) Then, U need to find out the lock code to go further.
This is the link to generate the lock code: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9610464/HelpScreen.html
U need to key in all informations as what appear in YOUR Help ME! Screen:
user posted image

3) Once U got the code, type in the code on the Help Me! screen.

4) If U type in correctly, below screen will appear. Select Multi-WAP Engineering Screen
user posted image

5) Select Tunnel Engineering Screen
user posted image

6) Change IP Modem Solo Mode to DISABLE
user posted image

7) Try tethering your Playbook with your BB, U will see "Modem Mode Enable" but your BB still connected to BIS. smile.gif

Please aware that there is a RISK to screw up your BB if U dont know and dont follow the above guide. I am not responsible for that. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

mike: this works. but if im not wrong, once u soft reset/batt pull ur BB, this option returns back to ENABLE in "IP MODEM SOLO MODE"... can u double confirm?

Yes. Will back to Enable.
There is a BB App called "ESCodeGen" U can install on your BB to get the Code.
