need help.

i have 2 units ipod touch 4 in front of me now. i already registered apple id for me and for my sister. facetime settings is on, and got wifi connection.

but, when i try to facetime with my sister ipod, it can't. same goes with my sister can't facetime with me. when i click the facetime button, the infront camera automatic on and heard sound "tuut tuut"(phone ring). but my sister ipod didn't show any response. why ar?

is it because of i used the same wifi connection or ...?? anyone?

I had the same problem too last time. The caller's phone is ringing (sort of a dialing tone) but the receiver's phone is not. Activated my iTunes account but still the same thing. Btw, make sure both users have different iTunes account. So, I gave up. Few days later, I went to McD and connect to their free wifi service. I tried using Facetime and suddenly a message pops out and ask me to confirm my acocunt. After following the steps given on screen, I had my account confirmed. I didn't try calling from McD's wifi coz the connection is quite congested. Went home and tried, suddenly it works. No problems since then.

Well, that's how I got Facetime connected. Others might have different ways.

Kindly use that thread for all your casing and accesories discussion and that's what the thread is for. If iPhone and iPad users can post in the correct thread, i don't see why iPod users can't.

Seems useless pinning it up the casing and accesories thread and you guys don't even post in the right thread. Unpinning the thread.

Anyway, anymore discussion on casing or iPod related accesories in this thread, post will be deleted and will not be moved anymore.

I myself was a new comer before to the thread, didn't know that there's a separate thread specified for casings and accessories. I think people still discussing about casings and accessories in this thread probably because there's "Everything about iPod" under the title. Maybe people got mixed up abit with that.

The reason why "Everything about iPod" is there because we started the first thread since those early days and we have kept the subtopic as it is until today. Even tho i may change the subtopic to Q&A Discussion, forumers will still post on casings etc because Q&A Discussion as subtopic is very general as well.

If you do check iPhone and iPad subforum, we do have threads for accesories and casings and i hardly need to move any post because the thread is available to them to post.

I do notice a trend or a habit of forumers not reading the pinned threads and they always read the threads below them pinned thread. Hence, i unpin the casings and accesories thread so that more forumers will take notice.

Anyway, we are not here to stop anyone from posting. Moderators are here to help and it will be great if everyone just post their queries in the right thread. That helps alot.

Guys, I found that my iPod is damn powerful!!!

Once I turn my iPod wifi off, the wifi can't use either with my laptop or hp. And, the router light not blinking but stay still with light on.

Once I turn ipod wifi on, wifi can use but only my iPod can use it, my laptop and hp still can't use it, connection timeout. And, the router start blinking.

I tried many times and get the same thing. Really amazing weih. What is the freaking problem?!

i think i want to buy ipod touch using apple store malaysia including with the engraving things..just wanna ask how much days it takes for it to shipping to kuantan

can someone tell me is it your new ipod touch4 8gb show 6.5 capacity and 6.3 available on general>about when you first open the touch?

generally its like that. u bought an 8gb u got free capacity about 6.5gb because the rest had been used for the software in the ipod itself. thats why i bought the 32gb version, got free capacity about 29gb. still a lot rather than 6.5gb.

Added on October 6, 2010, 2:34 amin my experience, to activate Facetime for registration, you need to connect the ipod with itunes. then, register your facetime and you'll be ask to confirm your email. make sure its an exact email (@email.com). when call using facetime, if you ever experienced the dialler sound but there's no one picking, it means its trying to connect and this will take some time. and sometimes you cannot connect at all. thats what happen with me when using my 1mbp streamyx. so i decided to go to my friend's house which uses Unifi, suddenly can connect with Facetime. but still got some laggy.

so i guess the main problem is you need a good and fast connection for Facetime.

your iPod is NOT damn powerful. there's something wrong with it. maybe its sucking up all the wifi bandwidth and emitting very high electro-magnetic radiation which is dangerous and can cause cancer. either way electronic appliances should not misbehave in that way. something wrong with some circuits in your iPod. maybe use few more months and it will KO. then you can claim warranty from Apple.
