Here's a sample of the iPod Touch 4's video. Took it yesterday while I was in Sunway Pyramid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EL_FfP4FpCgCompared to the iPhone 4, it lacks. The iPhone is much clearer (both still and video). But hey, it's still awesome judging by the size and price. I've browsed several shops and so far, only the shop right outside the IT center sells the screen protector and casing.

The name of the shop ... If I can remember it correctly, it starts with the letter 'H' or 'Hiro' or something. It's just next to a videogame shop. The IT center I'm referring to is at the top floor in the old block. The one where alot of Ah Beng technicians kept asking 'yes?' whenever you walk by. It's not inside. Just right outside the IT center.
Anyway, if anyone wants to know how's the video is like in various conditions (eg: low light, close up, indoor, outdoor), do let me know and I can do a sample. Capturing is easy. Uploading is hard. The sample video of me driving along a residential area took almost an hour to upload. By the way, the audio capture is rather clear. I even got flagged by YouTube for uploading a copyright music because I was playing a CD when I did the video capture.

The original video doesn't have any jumps. Too bad I couldn't retest it again to confirm coz' already deleted the actual file. Anyway, the initial video format was MOV. I just let YouTube convert it for me, I didn't use any software to pre-convert it first.
There's one dude in the internet who made a great comparison between the Phone and the Pod. The difference is HUGE. Oh, btw, the Pod photo camera is bad ... really bad ... but who cares about photos when you have video ...
Was thinking of getting the Phone instead but these few facts made me avoid the iPone: - I had to pay over RM2000 even for 2 year telco contract. Singapore only pay SG$300. - Malaysia 3G is slow and has a usage quota. Singapore has quota but it's over 12GB.
Ok, I'll stop the iPhone rant here. Getting out of topic in this section.
Oh, as for the question regarding the screen protector. I didn't really get any well known brand. It's just a RM68 thingy which I believe is made in China or something. In just one week, I have two obvious scratch marks behind my Pod. I had to simply get something to temporarily shield it before I create prehistoric drawings behind the Pod. RM68 is a good buy. There's a clear screen protector, rubber casing, vertical/horizontal stand and belt pouch.

Wait a minute ... I know the location in the pictures. Jalan SS16/1. That's where I live! Wow, this is awesome.

Problems ... hmm ... let me see. Just my view:
The back part scratches too easily. Or maybe it's just me. The cable interface looks like it's coming out from the back part. It's actually secured but looks loose. Earphone jack is at the bottom. Quite annoying if you are someone who keeps it in your shirt pocket when listening to music. Had some problems with FaceTime. Took me some time and a few different internet lines to activate the iTunes account to use FaceTime. No problems after that. Earphone jack abit tight. Abit hard to unplug considering that the connector is not 'L' shape.

QUOTE(syukry @ Oct 5 2010, 11:43 AM) need help. i have 2 units ipod touch 4 in front of me now. i already registered apple id for me and for my sister. facetime settings is on, and got wifi connection. but, when i try to facetime with my sister ipod, it can't. same goes with my sister can't facetime with me. when i click the facetime button, the infront camera automatic on and heard sound "tuut tuut"(phone ring). but my sister ipod didn't show any response. why ar? is it because of i used the same wifi connection or ...?? anyone? I had the same problem too last time. The caller's phone is ringing (sort of a dialing tone) but the receiver's phone is not. Activated my iTunes account but still the same thing. Btw, make sure both users have different iTunes account. So, I gave up. Few days later, I went to McD and connect to their free wifi service. I tried using Facetime and suddenly a message pops out and ask me to confirm my acocunt. After following the steps given on screen, I had my account confirmed. I didn't try calling from McD's wifi coz the connection is quite congested. Went home and tried, suddenly it works. No problems since then. Well, that's how I got Facetime connected. Others might have different ways.
