Added on October 26, 2010, 5:20 pmjust to share with everyone who intend to trade in their Toyo tyres...not many neighbourhood shops accept Toyo trade in. One Mazda forumer recommended Tek Ming in Sunway. This is their offer to me:

Trade in value at RM120per pc, at the same time buy Michelin PS3 at rm495 per pc. Hence, it will cost RMRM375 to get new Michelin PS3. This is for 205/r50/17 tyre.

Balancing, alignment, etc, all in. Good deal?
*
Why don't ya, sell your Toyo Tyres to me smile.gif

I think there are some products in the market that u can check. 3M also has this sticker thing for bumper, its diamondbrite or something, but the price is like 1300-1500 per bumper... doh.gif

BTW, anyone did soundproofing M3 so far?
Been to GS lately to do alignment, they also do soundproofing but the costs for 4-doors is like 280/roll. M3 would need at least 2 rolls + workmanship 200. So total up to rm760 (it can be one more roll = rm1040).

That is only for the 4 doors. Cabin floor is not included (will costs more and more rm....)

Anybody has done it? What brand and where? Did the door soundproofing really affect your speakers' bass sound?

Maybe this may help, it's cheap and have good feedback from customers.
Myself haven't try it yet, tend to be soon.

SEREMBAN: Spare-parts dealer Ong Eng Ching learnt the hard way that Global Positioning System (GPS) for vehicles is not really foolproof – at a very costly RM138,000.

That was the amount he had paid in cash for a used Toyota Fortuner which a company had put up for sale via tender.
Victim with a huge loss: Ong showing the police report he had lodged following the theft of his car from his home in Taman Merpati.

The father of three, who had wanted to take the family for more outings together, had successfully bid for the car.

“I then went to the insurance company to get cover for the car but was told to install an alarm system with GPS (global positioning system) first to prevent theft,’’ he said, adding that he then fixed the gadget for RM2,400.

However, he said the car was stolen from his house in Taman Merpati here while waiting for the transfer of ownership and insurance cover.

“I was about to leave for work at about 6am when I found the car missing from the porch. It was just a few days after installing the alarm system.

“I immediately alerted the GPS service provider and they told me that my car was detected near Bukit Paya at about 5am.

“But the company could not track down the car,’’ he told reporters at the office of Rasah MP Anthony Loke.

Ong said he was told fantastic things about the GPS system when it was sold to him.

“Now I have lost all my money as the car cannot be traced,’’ he said, adding that he could not recoup his losses because the car had no insurance cover.

Loke said he would seek legal advice on the matter.

“We want to assist Ong to see if he can recover some of his losses and if there was an element of negligence involved,” he said.

Loke said the authorities should also act against insurance companies which made it mandatory for car buyers to install additional security features to reduce the risk of the vehicles being stolen.

“Some of them simply refuse to provide coverage just to safeguard themselves,’’ he added.

Well bro, i personally think the undercarriage need soundproofing, since the road noise is there still.

It's not that bad, but I think it would be better if the road noise can be reduced even further, simply because we don't need them at all.

The engine bay soundproofing is superb; there are still people didn't realise my M3 approaching them from behind brows.gif

I done some research on sound proofing.. and I just back to my hometown.. looking for some car accessory here too smile.gif Hope they sell the LED light here cheaper. Well the main part we need to install the sound proof pad is..

1. The roof (if possible, scare void the warranty sad.gif )
2. The behind boot, this one easy but you need a good hand to stick the soundproof material around.. (I think this need the most)
3. Front Wheel (The are around the wheel, I don't know what that call), because i can feel some minor vibration inside the car where the Air Bag area.

Thing to find in my hometown.

1. LED Light for my car boot not the front tongue.gif
2. Audio Player? ( see any cheaper than KL or not )
3. some car accessory if possible.
