can somebody help me?i just bought a ps3.how to make sure that my ds3 is ori???

Things to watch out for:

* an overall poor build quality. This was the first thing I noticed. It was either that Sony had let their quality control go or this was a relatively good fake.
* rough edges on the joins of the controller shell. Run your finger over them comparing it to the smooth real ones.
* raised rectangle area where the controller number LEDs are contained. The gap between the LEDs and the controller is also approximately double.
* hard to press L3 and R3 when at full extension.
* dual shock joysticks are stiffer.
* button labels outlines are noticeably thicker (such as on X, O, etc) and on close inspection, quite average quality.
* buttons are also taller, the Playstation button especially sticks out a lot. If you run your finger over real one it feels like a smooth bump, while the fake juts out.
* printed labels like ‘Sony’ and ‘Dual Shock 3’ are slightly off colour and not in the correct position.
* if you shake the controller you can hear the parts ‘ticking’ around inside.
* you can feel a screw underneath the real label. It’s approximately in the bottom centre.

what i can confirm is that there is no screw underneath the real label but there is a ticking sound when i shake my controller.so is it ori or not?does all ori controller doesnt produce the ticking sound when we shake it?

at the back of the white ds3 written cechzc2h..from the previous post,yours should be the same with me right?so same led light penetrate through and the sound when we shake the ds3?btw i bought my ps3 from tech two..

i wanna ask something...
i just change my hd from 160 to 500 gb..
my 500gb is WD scorpio blue 5400 rpm if im not mistaken..
then i try to do a full format on the xmb menu...
it takes 28h 50m to format..wth...is it normal?

actually the 500gb is my notebook hard disk
search the other forum..seem like it is normal,plus the feedback said that when doing the full format,ps3 became more stable

why not add another 200..can buy sharp 40inch full hd..and with your budget...already can buy pana plasma 42 inch..

hye,anybody doing service send ps3 back to singapore for warranty claim?

i have ps3 160gb white ver. that having a problem.seems like mobo problem.
i want to ask what is the easiest/cheapest way to claim warranty?the place that i bought the ps3 cannot help me send the ps3.only 1 year technical service warranty.

ps3 only 2 month old.i ask him but now he didnt reply my pm

Added on November 26, 2010, 8:11 pmi think sony style there not update la.i ask them ps3 320gb white they said only 160gb have white colour.i ask them warranty they said 1year only even register online cannot extend 90days.i ask them ps3 package they said no package only those 320gb and 160gb.

i know too just want to test him.they are not just 0 knowledge,but also very arrogant like they are sony general manager.

bro do u reg online the singapore set?coz all gameshop here that provide the service send warranty,said they cannot help once the console reg online.
