QUOTE(Zad @ Feb 4 2011, 08:35 PM) i misunderstood something previously.. i got my kindle registered with amazon US account right now, but with no credit inside the account.. when i connect to kindle store via wifi, i found the storefront is empty (when i go inside any categories of books, magazines and newspaper, it shows no items found), izzit becoz of my credit? Heya Zad, no worries on the understanding. That shouldnt be right though, Amazon does not require that you have any credits in your account for it to work. Ie if you want free book, you dont need to have any amount or credit in your account. Are you sure your Kindle is registered to your US account though ? You need to link your Kindle in your Amazon account. Go through your Amazon account and click on Manage. Link your Kindle there, from there you should be good to go and see all your books.
QUOTE(k-bkeat @ Feb 5 2011, 11:48 PM) looking for second hand cheap kindle unit or u can trade with my casio edifice gold. too poor to afford one but IM UTTERLY INTERESTED! PM ME ANYONE! anyway TS had been very helpful in pm everyone support him ok?! Haha thanks buddy, hopefully youll find someone to trade with, Kindle is still pretty nifty and still very exciting though, you might find it hard to get someone who'll trade you with one but hopefully you get lucky
QUOTE(k-bkeat @ Feb 6 2011, 12:28 AM) kindle without 3G will it be useless? wat is 3G for anyway? like cellphone? data charge from telco like digi maxis celcom? Not really.
Kindle 3G It works just fine in Malaysia, just like how 3G works for the iPad. Its not locked to any provider. Works globally. Worth getting, i personally dont think so. 3G allows you to sync books while say youre in the middle of Langkawi away from your personal desktop or on the beach and to surf the internet. This would be the only reason and time the 3G will be in use. For you to do some light browsing whilst by the sea. Also, it allows for wireless sync for your books. But why do it ?
You'll have to remember though that this sync will be for your books, at which before you left for Langkawi you would have already downloaded a few im sure. I dont think youll be able to finish 120 books by the beach on a weeks vacation to Langkawi
Kindle holds 13,000 books and even if synching gets you 1000 books also you would not be reading all 1000 im sure. Next on Net Surfing, well, you remember its going to be in Black and White yes ? Although The browsers pretty decent and gets you through to the websites fast, 3G is good for quick net surfing by the beach, but if the beach gets Wifi Connection then why connect to 3G ?
Hope that helps

I just got my Kindle from havocx this morning. I have yet to even unbox it yet but I thought I should get this out here first. This was my first time dealing with havocx but it will assuredly not be the last. I do shop online with some regularity both with e-tailers and also LowYatNet sellers but I have to say, this was the first time I felt completely confident and reassured that my order was in good hands. I sometimes get a fit of nerves after I've made payment on web purchases with unknown individuals. It doesn't help that it feels like I've sent my money into a blackhole because of the lack of correspondence and/or updates as to the status of my order. I basically just have to sit pretty and wait for my purchase to show up pretty much at random. havocx, on the other hand, is in a league of his own. Your peace of mind is clearly his priority. He takes care to give regular and informative updates about the progress of the order. He goes out of his way to assuage your concerns and answer any questions you may have. He makes it a point to make himself available pretty much 24/7 and provides you with comprehensive contact information, to boot. He's unfailingly prompt, friendly, polite and accommodating in his communications. This is all even more amazing when you take into account that this is a non-profit bulk so he's basically doing this as a labour of love to keep the Kindle flame alive! Hats off to you, havocx! Thanks for all the hard work! You rock!

Hang on. A few things I must clarify. I was not driving, I would NEVER sms or take a call while im driving. Im very much against anyone who does. I was BEING driven Hence I could reply.
Secondly Im not a seller though k-bkeat is a potential seller. Am only showing the Kindle of as I would be available in the area to meet k-bkeat, I like to share and showing off what the Kindle can do is one of my passion

Yes, and I have gotten 3 in already if you look at the past bulk. That someone who should explain would be me, and you would have that already in your PM. Have a great week ahead!
