Another problem. When I copy and paste the mobi files from pc to the kindle, the kindle displays the first sentence of the book as its title instead of the name of the book. Why is this so and how can I make it display the name instead?

Am not sure if it will work for you though for both your problems above, but in this FAQ it shows how to edit titles. You have to change the title first and only then transfer the book on your Kindle. Metadata is loosely defined as data about data. If you see your collections in the Kindle, you would not be able to find them except for the weird string like Kindle:\.active-content-data\8a5b8dae2758322b01278815e4f20019, that string is the title of your collection, if you have 10 collections, you will have 10 complex numbers like that. Thus, per the rule of the data on the data on your kindle (your ebooks), youd not be able to create a collection directly. |

Plus thats something new I learnt too  As a comeback too, here's another tip I think would be very useful for folks who have a lot of small font PDF files which are actually ebooks. Only catch is that your pictures (if any) wont undergo any conversion. Found this little utility Free Ease PDF to Text that will allow a conversion of text based PDF to only text. From there, the text can be converted to any ebook format, ie .azw, .prc or .mobi. Copy those in to your Kindle and voila, you now would have text from pdf that you can zoom in. Nice eh ? |

So happened that the files didn't have the complete info in its metadata. All I did was key in the info manually on Calibre (Or you can also go to "Edit Metadata", enter the book ISBN and downloaded the info directly), reconvert, retransfer and the problem was solved. Again, it is still easier to see the file itself, just in case we didn't completely understand your problem or maybe the steps we explained was not completely clear.
